In this study, employees of the Federal Correctional Institution in Ashland, Kentucky; the Federal Medical Center in Rochester, Minnesota; and the Federal Correctional Institution in Milan, Michigan were surveyed to determine the need for a Cultural Awareness Sensitivity Training program for staff within the United States Bureau of Prisons. In addition, if the need for this program was established, the Cultural Awareness Study was formulated to determine the scope and breadth of the coverage of the program. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of women inmates in maintaining communication with the outside world. Specifically, the investigator sought to determine how certain independent variables affect particular dependent variables. The independent variables used in the study were, (1) race/ethnicity, (2) remaining time to serve in prison, (3) age, (4) number of children, if any, the inmate has, and (5) education. The dependent variables used in the study were, (1) number of people on the outside world, (2) volume of correspondence, (3) number of visitations, and (4) volume of telephone calls.

This research explains the actual concept of mut'ah as stated In al-Quran and al-Hadith by taking into consideration the opinions of fuqaha' from different teachings. The research emphasizes on the practice of the division of mut'ah after divorce in the Mahkamah Syariah Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur with reference to the Islamic Family Law (Federal Territories) Act 1984. This research also covers a few procedures and judgments in cases of mut'ah in this court. The research finds the practice which ensures the rates of the claims parallel the needs of Syarie Law.
