Community Efforts To Fulfill The Availability Of Green Open Space (Rth) Through Activities Urban Farming (Case Study: Rw 01, Rawasari Village, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta Administrative City), Fajri Ananda Hade
Cities and Urban Development Journal
Background: The Special Capital Region (DKI) of Jakarta's achievements in the Global City indicators for environmental and sustainability aspects include meeting the availability of micro and macro scale green open spaces (RTH) to optimize space utilization. The need for RTH refers to Law No. 26 of 2007 concerning the availability of RTH with a percentage of 30%.
Aims: This study reviews community efforts to fulfill the availability of green open space through urban farming activities in the Central Jakarta Administrative City with a case study of the RW 01 area, Rawasari Village, Johar Baru District.
Methods: This research method …
Evaluating Climatic Niche Suitability For Bos Javanicus Reintroduction In Cagar Alam Pananjung Pangandaran Using Maxent And Native-Habitat Benchmarks From Ujung Kulon And Alas Purwo, Azhari Al Kautsar, Masita Dwi Mandini Manessa
Evaluating Climatic Niche Suitability For Bos Javanicus Reintroduction In Cagar Alam Pananjung Pangandaran Using Maxent And Native-Habitat Benchmarks From Ujung Kulon And Alas Purwo, Azhari Al Kautsar, Masita Dwi Mandini Manessa

The Javan banteng (Bos javanicus) persists on Java mainly in a small number of protected-area strongholds, making robust climatic niche characterization important for conservation planning and for evaluating potential management or restoration targets. Here, we modeled banteng climatic suitability in southwestern Java using a MaxEnt (maxnet) framework calibrated with bioclimatic predictors from CHELSA and benchmark occurrence records from extant populations in Ujung Kulon National Park (UKNP) and Alas Purwo National Park (APNP). To contextualize transferability to non-occupied protected habitat, we also projected suitability to Cagar Alam Pananjung Pangandaran (CAPP) and quantified environmental novelty using the Multivariate Environmental Similarity Surface (MESS). …

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is a key indicator for understanding regional economic structure and dynamics. Differences in sectoral contributions reflect levels of specialization, competitiveness, and growth potential, making comparative and dynamic sectoral analyses essential for regional development planning. This study aims to identify leading, supporting, potential, and lagging economic sectors using Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), and Shift Share Analysis by comparing the economic performance of South Tangerang City with Banten Province. The analysis is based on GRDP at constant prices by industrial sector for the period 2019-2023. LQ is applied to identify sectoral comparative advantages, DLQ …
Agro-Ecotourism In Ciputri Village: Evaluating Potentials And Strategies For Sustainable Tourism Development, Inanditya W. Putri, Hafid Setiadi
Agro-Ecotourism In Ciputri Village: Evaluating Potentials And Strategies For Sustainable Tourism Development, Inanditya W. Putri, Hafid Setiadi
Jurnal Geografi Lingkungan Tropik (Journal of Geography of Tropical Environments)
Sustainable rural tourism development requires integrated planning that balances environmental conservation, community participation, and local economic growth. Agro-ecotourism has emerged as an important approach to support village-based tourism development in environmentally sensitive areas. Ciputri Village in Cianjur Regency has been designated as a tourism village and possesses considerable agro-based and ecological potential. However, tourism development remains suboptimal due to limited public awareness, low visitor numbers, and fragmented strategic planning. This study aims to assess agro-ecotourism potential and to formulate priority development strategies. An integrated approach combining Participatory Geographic Information Systems (P-GIS), SWOT-based EFAS/IFAS analysis, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) …

Geothermal plays an important role in affecting surface water quality with both positive and negative effects. It becomes an efficient renewable energy source in generating electricity without producing harmful gases. However, the presence of geothermal affects the quality of surface water in a watershed. This research is focused on the Mount Salak geothermal area which has volcanic and tectonic activity. Parameters such as electrical conductivity (measured in millisiemens/cm) were used to measure the content of minerals and dissolved compounds in the water. Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) measured in ppt is used to quantify dissolved solids, while water acidity (pH) indicates …

Jurnal Geografi Lingkungan Tropik (Journal of Geography of Tropical Environments)
Tropical cyclones are one of the most destructive weather phenomena because they pose three main dangers: heavy rainfall, strong winds, and storm surge. The occurrence of tropical cyclones is expected to increase both in terms of intensity and geographical spread due to climate change. Indonesia, located around the equator with a low Coriolis force, was previously considered safe from tropical cyclones. This study aims to examine the spatial pattern of tropical cyclones in the southern part of Indonesia during the period from 1990 to 2023 to understand the extent to which tropical cyclones can occur near the equator. The analysis …

Gunung Mas Agrotourism is a sub-unit managed by PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII (PTPN VIII) under the management of Agrotourism and is the largest contributor to PTPN VIII's revenue, which is 70% and most of it comes from the tourism sector. The facilities and activities offered by Gunung Mas Agrotourism also vary, from lodging, restaurants, tourist attractions, and supporting facilities to meet the tourists' needs. To find out the magnitude of tourist interest in tourist attractions, an analysis of the attractiveness of tourist attractions is needed. This study aims to assess tourist attractions based on tourist preferences as well as the …
