Law Number 6 of 2014 on Village—apart from its political contribution in democratizing statevillage relation—has a fundamental limitation on natural resource issues in the village in the light of agrarian and ecological crises. This Law offers a minor elaboration on natural resource issues and provides limited authority to the village on this field, while no reference is made to the problem of inequality in community’s access to local natural resources. Confronted with such structural challenges, it is argued that “struggle for village autonomy” will hardly lead to significant social transformation without involving attempts to establish just and sustainable natural resource …

Among others, general election for local government (pemilukada) since 2005 is an implementation of democratization and decentralization. Although democratization in Indonesia was praised by some researchers, many others also figured out some corruptive actions in the democratic process. Warren’s conception about democratic corruption helped us to understand the paradox of post-Reformation democratization and decentralization. According to Warren, corruption in a democracy is a duplicitous exclusion that gives an advantage to few parties in the expense of the others who are excluded from the process of decision-making and collective action. This article was wrote based on a study to describe the shifting orientation of hard-line Islamic group in the decentralization of democratic era and its influences factor: from “Islamism” to “premanism”. This article aims to analyze the settlement of a prolonged conflict between the Free Aceh Movement (Gerakan Aceh Merdeka/GAM) and the Indonesian Government through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of Helsinki that had implications on changing the law for Aceh. Some previous studies stated that Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a win-win solution has been working well and give a better chance to end the separatist conflict in Aceh. The purpose of this study is to determine what influences consumers when shopping second-hand for apparel products in-store and online. According to the existing literature, a number of key factors play significant roles for second-hand apparel shopping consumer decisions. They include: social, costs, trends and environmental influencers. No time to waste: Crowdsourcing global wastewater treatment data

Worldwide, over 80 percent of wastewater is discharged into water bodies without undergoing treatment, severely impairing human well-being and ecosystem vitality along the way. National performance on wastewater treatment is difficult to quantify and is poorly understood due to a lack of common definitions, poor data collection standards, and limited historical data. To address this, the Yale Environmental Performance Index (EPI), a research group that produces a biennial ranking of country-level environmental performance, developed a first-of-its kind national wastewater treatment indicator.[1]
