The following study investigates how to develop and maintain a health outreach program in order to make a behavior change in participating in the breast cancer movement. The number of women becoming affected by breast cancer is increasingly growing, and the students who developed the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Campaign saw the need to raise awareness of this disease on campus and in the community. The campaign’s focus was to create and publicize an outreach event called Rock the Tatas, a fundraising concert to support the fight against breast cancer. The Effects Of Message Framing And Denotative Specificity On Students' Opinions Of The Hpv Vaccination, Arielle Tenaya Marie Gout, Katherine Marie Kays

The purpose of our project is to use various persuasive techniques in order to determine the most effective method to persuade students about the HPV vaccination and the negative effects of the HPV virus. An important component of public health message design is determining the most effective types of messages for a particular audience. The results of this study are intended to be an aid to the creators of health messages regarding HPV and the HPV vaccination, with the ultimate goal of increasing the effectiveness of public health messages to adolescents in regards to these issues.

This paper explores how labels are used in regard to disabilities in the dominant American culture. Ignorance is the link between language and discrimination and inequalities for people with disabilities. Americans can be educated through disability studies so as to become capable of empathizing with and enabling, rather than disabling, their compatriots.
