This project will assess mediums of communication used to create and spread political propaganda, namely from print to digital. The development of graphic communication may provide interesting correlation of how values and ideas are visually represented in society and how the people have reacted to shifting politics. This project is inspired by the recent political climate in the United States, and the continuous impact the media has on the public throughout the many visual forms of communication. This infographic provides instructions to teach students how to analyze propaganda posters in a design similar to a propaganda poster. The first example of propaganda was distributed to children on gum wrappers first published in 1947 by the Catechetical Guild Educational Society of St. Paul, Minnesota. The second poster was from WWII in 1943 and the third was designed by Dal Holcomb in 1942. The last two were to encourage citizens to not share government secrets.

The present study is an attempt to bring into focus one of the many bases of party power over Soviet citizens. It is no great revelation that the Soviet government has long indulged in anti-American propanda, but the continuity, elaboratness and virulence of ths "crusade of hatred" demands further study. It is essential that such study be undertaken parallel with an appraisal of Soviet-American relations since 1917.
