Gojek is an Indonesian platform-based on-demand ride-hailing business that has attracted some researchers to conduct studies in this newly emerged economy field through various approaches. Most researchers see the phenomenon of Gojek as part of the global disruptive technology movement that positively impacts the Indonesian economic and socio-cultural aspects of society. Some others expose the asymmetrical relationship between the platform and its driverpartners. The Kemang Palang Pintu Festival is an annual event. The purpose of this event is to preserve culture and celebrate the anniversary of the city of Jakarta. The organizers display many Betawi cultural arts while visitors who come are not only Betawi residents. This study uses a constructivist qualitative approach. The research method used is a case study by conducting interviews & direct observation to make observations. This paper aims to construct the diversity reality of the society that has been presented in the media reality of television. Television presents symbols that need to be interpreted critically. When humans perform critical interpretation consciously, the meaning of diversity will be comprehensively grasped.
