A Model For The Development And Administration Of A Modern Television Complex For Private Colleges And Universities, Paul Henry Denton

Problem. There are virtually no model designs available for television complexes to meet the needs of private colleges and universities. These institutions must meet educational specifications for new or remodeled complexes within strict limits in space and money. The purpose of this study was to develop a model complex and administration of a cost efficient design.
Method. The study utilized the descriptive and developmental methods. Literature was reviewed to gather concepts related to complex facilities, hardware, administration and personnel. Twelve functioning television complexes were visited using a thirty-four item criteria list to evaluate each complex, its hardware, administrative structure, and …

Guides to Manuscript Collections
The collection is quite extensive and consists of several large groups of materials. These four primary groups make up the bulk of the collection. The first consists of over 1,600 film reels spanning 160 cubic ft. through the years 1952-1983. The second group is made up of over 2000 U-Matic /Betacam tapes spanning 300 cubic ft. through the years 1978-2011. The third is around 86 large archival boxes of news scripts spanning 87 cubic ft. through the full coverage of years 1952-2011. The purpose of the study was to define the individual and collective roles of various persons and organizations as well as of equipment, real estate, and finance in the establishment of educational television station KYVE-TV at Yakima, Washington. The study of the establishment of a new educational television station not only would reveal the various aspects of its operational status, but also would reveal the initial investment in terms of effort, finance, and gifts that brought it into existence.
