Graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) are faced with managing how to respond to student disclosures of grief in the classroom but often lack grief training from their universities when these instances occur. Good and Mad grief, and Critical Grief Pedagogy (CGP) are the frameworks for which this study is positioned. Through interviews with GTAs in the United States, we explore their experiences when engaging with student grief disclosures and revealed three main themes: regulations and boundaries, transactional exchanges in institutions, and the classroom being a human space. This article proposes a theoretical basis of Augustinian composition pedagogy by tracing the symbiotic relationship between writing and knowing found within St. Augustine’s Letters, The Trinity, Soliloquies, and Confessions and connecting them to modern writing-to-learn composition pedagogies. Given today’s trying times of generative AI, this article argues that Catholic schools revitalize the writing arts in a manner proposed by Augustine—that is, to enrich inward contemplation and outward love for others. Online video conferencing platforms, such as Zoom, are widely used for virtual classes. Zoom platforms bring flexibility and convenience, but also contribute to fatigue which is called “Zoom fatigue”. The purpose of the study is to investigate Zoom fatigue among international students at the U.S. university, and its links to Zoom-mediated communication in the field of education. The study investigates 152 international students to examine how English competency affects Zoom fatigue, and how course engagement affects Zoom fatigue in virtual classes at the U.S. university. Parent-child communication about alcohol is a beneficial method for protecting adolescents against the risks of alcohol use, and may be particularly helpful among adolescents in the athletic community, where membership is a risk factor for alcohol use. Communicated Narrative Sense-Making theory (CNSM) was used as a guiding framework to ask 10 parent-adolescent dyads in youth sports to jointly tell a story about alcohol. Analyses were conducted thematically as well as through quantitative coding of Interactional Sense-Making (ISM) behaviors. This study examines the perceptions of Egyptian journalists of the effectiveness of professional training in digital journalism and determines the training-needs of journalists to adapt to innovative journalism practices. The study applies mixed descriptive methods based on The Motivation–Hygiene theory of what motivates employees. Data analysis is based on an online questionnaire with a snowball sample of 134 Egyptian journalists from different media outlets and in-depth interviews with 10 journalists and professional trainers, between June 2019 and August 2020. This dissertation is a contextual autoethnography of my lived experience with stigmatization, stereotypes, and institutional obstructions as a divorced single mother who previously experienced intimate partner violence and was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้ จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อพัฒนาเครื่องมือวัดประสบการณ์ผู้บริโภคในการสื่อสารการตลาดด้วยอีเวนต์เสมือน (Customer experience in virtual event marketing communication หรือ CEVEM) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) สร้างกรอบแนวคิด (Conceptualization) ประสบการณ์ผู้บริโภคในการสื่อสารการตลาดด้วยอีเวนต์เสมือน 2) พัฒนาเครื่องมือวัด (Measurement) ประสบการณ์ผู้บริโภคในการสื่อสารการตลาดด้วยอีเวนต์เสมือน ที่มีความเที่ยง (Reliability) และความตรง (Validity) และ 3) ทดสอบความไม่แปรเปลี่ยน (Invariance) ของเครื่องมือวัดประสบการณ์ผู้บริโภคในการสื่อสารการตลาดด้วยอีเวนต์เสมือนที่พัฒนาขึ้น ตามประเภทของผลิตภัณฑ์ที่สื่อสาร โดยงานวิจัยได้ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบผสม (Mixed methods) เริ่มต้นจากการวิเคราะห์เอกสาร (Documentary analysis) และสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-depth interviews) กับนักวิชาการ 6 ท่าน และผู้เชี่ยวชาญในอุตสาหกรรม 6 ท่าน จากนั้นจึงได้เก็บข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณด้วยการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ (Survey research) กับกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ได้รับชมการสื่อสารการตลาดด้วยอีเวนต์เสมือนจำนวน 453 คน ผลการวิจัยจากการวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงสำรวจ (Exploratory factor analysis) พบว่า มาตรวัดประสบการณ์ผู้บริโภคในการสื่อสารการตลาดด้วยอีเวนต์เสมือนประกอบไปด้วย 6 มิติ อันได้แก่ 1) ประสบการณ์ความใหม่ 2) ประสบการณ์ความสัมพันธ์ 3) ประสบการณ์ความลื่นไหล 4) ประสบการณ์ปัญญา 5) ประสบการณ์อารมณ์ และ 6) ประสบการณ์กายภาพ โดยมีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟ่าของครอนบาคอยู่ที่ .97 จึงถือได้ว่า มาตรวัดนี้มีความเที่ยง และจากการวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยัน (Confirmatory factor analysis) พบว่า โมเดลที่พัฒนาขึ้นมีความตรงเชิงโครงสร้าง นอกจากนั้น ผลการทดสอบความไม่แปรเปลี่ยนยังแสดงให้เห็นว่า มาตรวัดที่สร้างขึ้นนั้น ไม่มีความแปรเปลี่ยนตามประเภทผลิตภัณฑ์ โดยสามารถใช้ได้ในการสื่อสารการตลาดด้วยอีเวนต์เสมือนทั้งประเภทผลิตภัณฑ์และการบริการ (Generalizability) และสุดท้าย การทดสอบอิทธิพลชี้ให้เห็นว่า ประสบการณ์ผู้บริโภคในการสื่อสารการตลาดด้วยอีเวนต์เสมือนนั้น ส่งอิทธิพลเชิงบวกต่อทั้งทัศนคติต่อตราสินค้า (Brand attitude) และความพึงพอใจต่องานอีเวนต์ (Event satisfaction) ตามลำดับ

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางรายงานข่าวการฆ่าตัวตายของโทรทัศน์ดิจิทัลไทย และปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการรายงานข่าวการฆ่าตัวตายของโทรทัศน์ดิจิทัลไทย โดยใช้วิธีวิจัยแบบผสมผสานด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาจากรายการข่าวของสถานีโทรทัศน์ดิจิทัล 3ช่องที่มีเรตติ้งสูงที่สุด 10 อันดับแรกในช่วงปี 2560-2564 จำนวน 95 คลิป และการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกนักวิชาชีพสื่อและผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 9 คนเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการรายงานข่าว ปัญหาการรายงานข่าว และปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการรายงานข่าวการฆ่าตัวตายของโทรทัศน์ดิจิทัลไทย รวมถึงข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบายในการรายงานข่าวการฆ่าตัวตายที่เหมาะสม ผลการวิจัยพบว่าการรายงานข่าวส่วนใหญ่เป็นกรณีการฆ่าตัวตายที่สำเร็จและมักระบุว่าปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อพฤติกรรมการฆ่าตัวตายเป็นปัจจัยด้านสุขภาพจิต โดยเกือบทุกข่าวยังนำเสนอรายละเอียดของการฆ่าตัวตาย ข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลของผู้เสียชีวิตและผู้ใกล้ชิด และใช้ภาษาที่เร้าอารมณ์ ซึ่งเป็นการรายงานข่าวที่ไม่สอดคล้องกับจริยธรรมวิชาชีพและแนวปฏิบัติในการป้องกันการฆ่าตัวตาย ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลให้การรายงานข่าวมีปัญหา ได้แก่ 1) ความนิยมของผู้รับสารไทยต่อข่าวอาชญากรรม 2) การแข่งขันของสื่อเพื่อดึงดูดความสนใจของผู้รับสาร 3) สื่อมวลชนยังขาดความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับการป้องกันการฆ่าตัวตาย ในส่วนข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อให้การรายงานข่าวการฆ่าตัวตายเป็นไปอย่างเหมาะสม คือ การนำเสนอเฉพาะกรณีที่เป็นประโยชน์สาธารณะ การสร้างความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับปัญหาสุขภาพจิตและปัจจัยต่าง ๆ ที่มีผลต่อพฤติกรรมการฆ่าตัวตายให้กับสังคม และการระบุช่องทางป้องกันการฆ่าตัวตายเพื่อให้กลุ่มเสี่ยงได้เข้าถึงความช่วยเหลือ โดยควรจัดการอบรมสื่อมวลชนเกี่ยวกับการรายงานข่าวการฆ่าตัวตาย อีกทั้งยังมีข้อเสนอแนะให้สถานีโทรทัศน์ องค์กรวิชาชีพ และองค์กรกำกับดูแลกระตุ้นให้การกำกับดูแลตนเองของสื่อมวลชนเป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ และสังคมต้องตระหนักเรื่องการป้องกันการฆ่าตัวตาย เพื่อกำกับดูแลให้สื่อมวลชนรายงานข่าวการฆ่าตัวตายอย่างเหมาะสม
