G7™ Method For Flexographic Press Calibration, Michael Bayard, Xiaoying Rong, Malcolm Keif Mar 2008

G7™ Method For Flexographic Press Calibration, Michael Bayard, Xiaoying Rong, Malcolm Keif

Graphic Communication

The purpose of this study is to apply the G7 method for calibration on a four-color flexographic press. G7 controls and calibrates a press using colorimetric values rather than tone value increase. Two press runs were completed to calibrate a flexographic press. The first press run provided data for creating a control curve called Neutral Print Density Curve (NPDC) for the press run with a specific combination of inks and substrate. The printed P2P target was used to build the RIP curve and cutback the digital file. The calibrated plates then ran for the second time to check the efficiency …

High Performing Teams: The Moderating Effects Of Communication Channels, Edgard I. Zamora

Theses and Dissertations

The purpose of this study is to support the Air Force's goal of improving team performance by bringing visibility to several overlapping areas of study where little comprehensive research has been conducted. Specifically, an officer's ability to successfully complete his or her mission has been complicated in recent years by the emergence of new communication technologies. For example, communication networks now make it possible for pilots to fly Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAVs) who sit on one continent while the aircraft and mission planners are on another and, although they may not see each other, their physical separation does not negate …

Fcc Regulation: Indecency By Interest Groups, Patricia Daza Mar 2008

Fcc Regulation: Indecency By Interest Groups, Patricia Daza

Duke Law & Technology Review

FCC regulations are among the most controversial administrative law regulations because of their impact on broadcast television. This iBrief analyzes the history of FCC regulation and highlights the problems associated with the current model. Applying theories of economics, this iBrief proposes solutions to the current problems of selective enforcement and vagueness in enforcement. While the Supreme Court recognized that FCC regulation is necessary, it is also necessary for there to be a clearer model for how the agency should be run.
