While we continue to produce theoretical concepts, frameworks, and ideas in library and information studies (LIS), these developments are not being tested and tried ‘on the ground.’ There is an imbalance of research across the disciplines in LIS coming out of the field, rather than out of the academy (Morris & Cahill, 2017).

The purpose of this article was to provide a review of literature on the impacts of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on Libraries in Ghana. Some of the ICT impacts identified were in the area of cataloguing and classification, online public access catalogue, acquisitions, video conferencing, web 2.0 and social media tools, online searching and retrieval, electronic resources, digitization, electronic/digital libraries and institutional repositories, library website, indexing and abstracting, technical services, bibliographic instruction/library instruction, mobile digital library, interlibrary loan and document delivery, information access and video and photo libraries. Archival Futures is the most recent addition to the body of literature on archival futurism. Consisting of nine essays written by mostly academic lecturers or professors from the UK, Australia, Canada and the United States, this volume considers the impact of technology on the future of archives. Major technical concerns for the future include big data, blockchain, artificial intelligence, format challenges, and storage issues. Ultimately, the volume falls short of contextualizing archives within troubling future global trends, particularly those of labor casualization and climate change.

Parker (Univ. of Western Ontario, Canada) analyzes the connection between economics and entrepreneurship. Specifically, he shows how academic studies such as economics, policy, and social issues relate to entrepreneurship. The book is organized in four parts: selection (theories, empirical methods, determinants, and evidence), finance (debt, venture capital, angel finance, crowd-funding, wealth, etc.), performance (growth, job creation, innovation, survival, etc.), and public policy (policies, regulation, taxation, etc.). At the end of each, a concluding section provides a summary, a list of opportunities for future research, an extensive reference section, and an index.

The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is a theoretical framework that is most extensively utilized in explaining an individual’s acceptance of an information technology or an information system. This study reviews numerous literature related to the TAM focusing on TAM applications in the domains of Library and Information Science (LIS) and Education. The different studies in these areas were evaluated to understand the modifications incorporated into this model. The study attempts provide insight on future trends in the technology acceptance model as well to help identify gaps in literature where future research could be conducted.

The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) was founded in 1954 at the Jaipur House near the India Gate in New Delhi, India. Today the NGMA holds a permanent collection of over 17,000 paintings, sculptures, prints, and photographs, including most of Amrita Sher-Gil’s work not already in private collections, several hundred works by members of the Tagore family, and more than 6,700 works by painter Nandalal Bose. In 2009, the museum’s exhibition space significantly increased with the addition of several new wings.
