The present study focuses on information search and retrieval of the bibliographical data related to the key terms that fall in the subject chemistry. The search techniques include simple keywords, phrase terms and Boolean operator “AND”. Further, study encompasses the Lancaster’s 2 x 2 Table matrix to trace the recall (R) and precision (P) ratio for the obtained records that are retrieved from the bibliographic database using the same search techniques. This article reports on archaeological investigations conducted at the Thaddeus Stevens and Lydia Hamilton Smith Site in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Stevens and Smith Site stands in the footprint of Ii proposed convention center and hotel complex, and will be partially destroyed by the construction. Stevens, a noted anti-slavery legislator, and Smith, his African American housekeeper and companion, are reputed to have been actively involved in the Underground Railroad during the 1850s. While little concrete evidence exists to corroborate the degree to which Stevens and Smith assisted fugitives escaping from enslavement, our excavations uncovered a modified cistern that may have been …

This series of five photographs of woodcut engravings depicts Adam and Eve in Paradise along with the serpent and Tree of Knowledge. The engravings originally accompanied ballad broadsides printed by various firms including Schneider and Meyers, Heinrich B. Sage, Samuel Bauman, M. Dahlem and H. W. Villee. These photograph reproductions were used by Alfred Shoemaker in the production of an article for The Pennsylvania Dutchman and contain his notations on the reverse of the photos.
