Within the last three years, Missoula, Montana, has developed a culture of pervasive, systemic, and negative actions against people experiencing houselessness. The transition from funding multi-tiered approaches, including encampments, shelters, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing, has been replaced by decreased resource availability and the over-funded Ordinance 12.60, which enforces fines and misdemeanors on anyone unsheltered and experiencing houselessness. In Montana, approximately one in seven children live in a food-insecure household, with rural Montanans in particular facing significant barriers. Existing needs-based food assistance programs, such as SNAP and WIC, have structural weaknesses: SNAP benefits are often not sufficient to last through the month, and those eligible for these programs face a confusing application process, shame and stigma, and logistical hurdles, such as limited transportation.

This thesis examines how Adivasi resistance to mining-induced dispossession across India’s mineral belt is increasingly channeled into the judiciary, arguing that this shift functions as a mechanism of containment rather than a pathway to justice. Preferences are often assumed to be stable across time and context, yet research on cognition and behavioral economics suggests otherwise. The present study examined whether false reminders of prior choices amplify susceptibility to the asymmetric dominance effect, commonly known as the decoy effect, and secondly, whether working memory capacity moderates this relationship. Twenty-one participants completed an online experiment in which they first chose between pairs of everyday consumer products or services before receiving accurate, inaccurate, or no reminders of their earlier selections. This study investigates the extent to which international student achievement, measured through PISA assessments in mathematics, reading, and science, explains cross-country differences in economic development. Using an unbalanced panel data set combining PISA results from 2015, 2018, and 2022 with macroeconomic indicators from the World Development Indicators, I estimate multiple regression models, including pooled OLS, country and time fixed effects, and subsample analyses for developed and developing countries. Results from the pooled model indicate strong positive associations between PISA scores and GDP per capita, consistent with human capital theory. However, these relationships diminish under fixed effects specifications, suggesting that cross-country …

Background: Sexual pain (SP) affects a significant proportion of women, with lifetime prevalence ranging from 7% to 46%, but is poorly understood. While conservative religious affiliation has been identified as a potential risk factor since the 1970s, the mechanisms underpinning this association remain insufficiently characterized.

The study explores how much area is influenced by climate policy uncertainty (CPU), which adjusts the dynamics of volatility and cross-market spillovers among European electricity, energy commodities, carbon markets, and financial assets, thereby explaining the mechanisms affected by the existing sustainability transition. Using high-frequency market data, we combine an econometric architecture linking a time-varying parameter VAR to stochastic volatility, Barunik–Krehlik frequency-domain connectedness, and quantile-VAR methods, thereby enabling the capture of horizon-specific and regime-dependent risk transmission. The discussion shows that the CPU is a structural amplifying agent of market interconnectedness, which has its most substantial impacts in long-horizon and downside regimes. …

Kaizen is a Japanese word which translates to change or improvement, and it is the cornerstone of several process improvement systems. In the learning and development (L&D) space, we are always seeking ways to improve and become more efficient and effective. This case study updates a previous one from two years ago. Through the kaizen of our onboarding and training program, we have seen an increase in employee longevity after completing our five-day new hire onboarding program. This study explores the experiences of Bangladeshi female gamers in online multiplayer gaming spaces, focusing on the marginalizing messages they encounter, the emotional and social impacts, and the coping strategies they use. Although online gaming is often seen as an open and inclusive digital space, for many women it remains shaped by sexism, exclusion, and cyberbullying. Analysis of the Orthodox theological tradition as a moral foundation for military leadership in the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the full-scale war. The study moves beyond pragmatic managerial models, exploring Orthodox categories such as service (diakonia), sacrifice, and spiritual warfare. Drawing on patristic heritage and modern theologians, the authors examine leadership motivation, the role of faith in professional resilience, and the integration of Orthodox anthropology into military training. This study draws from social information processing theory, expectancy violations theory, and channel expansion theory to model how behavioral and linguistic features associated with virtual communication norms shape email perceptions and downstream conflict. Blunt-force trauma deaths are one of the most common cases encountered by forensic anthropologists because they involve accidental, suicidal, and homicidal deaths (Batalis 2025). In forensic cases, blunt force trauma is sometimes concealed by thermal alteration to cover evidence. Because of the mechanical and chemical properties that influence thermal and blunt-force trauma, distinguishing between them becomes difficult (Raniero et al. 2024). Caterpillar Inc., the world's largest heavy equipment manufacturer, grew rapidly in the 20th century before a crisis of overproduction in the early 1980s threatened its survival. In response, it launched the $2.8 billion “Plant with a Future” (PWAF) program, a sweeping material and ideological overhaul that remade the firm for the post-Fordist global economy. This article advances three interventions. First, it shows how post-Fordism as a spatial and ideological project emphasized decentralization, accountability, and customer orientation, which helped legitimize and institutionalize corporate restructuring.
