Agglomeration Economies In Social Economy Clusters: The Role Of Networks, Mina Kim
Agglomeration Economies In Social Economy Clusters: The Role Of Networks, Mina Kim
Dissertations and Theses
The social economy is an economic framework that prioritizes social value over profit, emphasizing cooperation, solidarity, and community-based solutions to the failures of neoliberal market systems. In East Asia, the development of the social economy is often government-led, raising concerns about resource dependency and the long-term sustainability of Social Economy Organizations (SEOs). This dissertation investigates how network structures and diversity within a policy-driven social innovation cluster shape SEO survival, and how agglomeration economies operate differently compared to conventional industrial clusters. The case of Seoul Innovation Park (SI Park) in South Korea provides the empirical basis for the analysis.

Baltic Journal of Health and Physical Activity
We aimed to determine changes in insulin, leptin, resistin, and irisin levels and their associations with blood pressure (BP) during pregnancy, following an 8-week high-intensity interval training (HIIT) or a self-performed moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA). The study involved 54 Caucasian women in uncomplicated, singleton pregnancy (age 32 ± 4 years, week of gestation 24 ± 4, mean ± SD). They were randomly allocated to the 8-week supervised, online “HIIT Mama” program (HIIT group, n = 34) or educational intervention and self-performed MVPA (EDU group, n = 20). All participants maintained normotension throughout the study. The HIIT program in-duced a statistically …

Current Practice In The Provision Of Psychological Assessment, Catherine R. Hanigan, Linda J. Baum, Anderson B. Rowan
Archives of Assessment Psychology
Understanding the assessment practices of psychologists has been a focus of research since the mid-twentieth century. Previous studies focused on the types of tests utilized as well as the amount of time spent on assessment. This updated research examined professional psychologists’ current practice and use of assessment, such as specific test usage, time spent on assessment, and feedback practices. A survey instrument was created, piloted, and administered to a sample of 293 currently practicing licensed psychologists. Results indicated that current assessment practices are largely consistent with previous surveys of psychologists. The tests identified as most frequently used were the Wechsler …

Archives of Assessment Psychology
Previous research has shown that reliable, valid measures of major personality traits can be derived from a sentence completion test, the Rotter Incomplete Sentences Blank (RISB). However, all previous samples consisted of undergraduates. Here, we report findings for two clinical samples (N = 120) to whom a variety of self-report inventories and structured clinical interviews were also administered. RISB-based ratings of Extraversion and Neuroticism were consistently correlated with relevant variables in both samples and displayed convergent and discriminant validity vis a vis self-reported traits. RISB-based ratings of Psychoticism were clearly associated with relevant variables in one sample with mixed but …

This article is intended to be an account of our scientific project, a project carried out by crossing disciplinary boundaries, going through several stages in order to achieve more decompartmentalized research, to adopt a multidisciplinary approach of stylistic, genetic and computer science. In order to approach the complex question of style in Flaubert, the one which represents the sovereign image of the writer par excellence, we followed in an initial phase a philological study, resembling the "study of genesis" in vogue at the turn of the century of the 19th and 20th centuries. After this work carried out on the …

The interaction between literature and linguistics must be thought of as permanent round trips: on the one hand linguistics can be useful for the study of literary texts; on the other hand, literature is itself likely to give a subject, a very rich field of investigation to linguistics. We will focus on analyzing some theories of linguistic enunciation applied to the Misguidances of the heart and mind of Crébillonfils, a memoir-novel published in 1736. Our goal was only to highlight the literarity or the poetics of the Crebillonian text through certain constants of the speech act common to the characters …

Literacy, which according to Jaffré (2004:31) designates “the set of human activities which involve the use of writing, in reception and production”, finds its origins in the various research studies relating to anthropology social in Anglo-Saxon countries (cf. Goody, 1979). She is particularly interested in scriptural practices in research writings taking into account their contextual and socio-cultural dimensions. It can be considered both as a term, as a multidisciplinary field, or even as an approach, which is interested in the multiplicity of discourses emanating from teachers and students and which can be written or oral.

The dedramatization of public speaking often remains at the center of requests for training in “expression”. Breaking the silence often represents an act of great violence for the student. Who is the player ? who is the played ? For around fifteen years, to understand the micro-rituals, the unspoken gestures of daily life, teaching throught theatre or role-playing has been provided in our schools and universities.
Why the choice of dramatic play? Theater presents this rare particularity of designating in a clear and visible way the two inseparable instances of all cultural practice: the actor and the spectator. If many …

In France, primary school teachers are considered "generalist teachers" capable of expertly teaching all subjects. This ambitious vision of the "ideal teacher," defined by the 2013 French professional competency framework, can lead to professional distress, particularly in foreign language teaching where many primary school teachers feel inadequate.
To improve the well-being of future primary school teachers during language lessons, an innovative teacher training based on children's literature was tested with first-year Master's students in education. The study began with a questionnaire assessing their self-perceived English level and emotions towards teaching it, revealing linguistic insecurity and negative feelings such as anxiety …

The words of the other abound in Milan Kundera's novels. In what forms is this discursive otherness textualized ? What is its massive and quasi-systematic use for ? These two questions are at the heart of this article devoted to the study of reported speech in Kunderian fiction. The hypothesis that we would like to support here is that this novelistic scenography of reported speech responds to a polyphonic project conducive to the interaction of voices and points of view, with a view to revealing the world.

This article examines the discursive strategies used in social networks, in this case the Facebook platform, to analyse hate speech during the Al Haouz earthquake. Based on a lexical-semantic study of sequences from a video posted on the Facebook page of a TV programme, "C à vous", broadcast on France 2, the article explores the different linguistic forms used to convey hostile feelings and expressions used to express positions regarding this situation. The goal is to understandthe linguistic dynamicsunderlying this particular discourse, which vacillates betwenhaterd and irony.

The 2023-2024 school year is unlike any other in terms of Moroccan language policy. The Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports has issued a circular calling on its various officials, players and stakeholders to generalize the use of the English language from secondary school level upwards. This new configuration, whose ultimate aim is to establish “linguistic pluralism in a progressive and balanced way”, starts with a sample of 10%, but intends to reach 100% in all public colleges by the 2025-2026 season. So what are the reasons for this choice? What does it say about the linguistic situation in …

In the digital age, people connect and build their identities on online platforms. Social networks, blogs and virtual spaces provide places of expression for social identity. This new way of socializing online raises questions about the influence of digital media on identity formation. Indeed, many influencers use vlogs for personal expression, storytelling and social connection. The proliferation of vlogs in areas such as fashion, cooking, and more demonstrates a significant shift in our consumption of content online. In this regard, several influencers have chosen to transmit Moroccan identity through vlogs of Moroccan culinary content, by wearing traditional outfits and creating …

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into language learning represents a real revolution compared to traditional software. With its ability to process large quantities of data, offer personalized lessons and instante correction and automate educational tasks, AI is changing the way we teach and learn. AI-driven language apps make learning more interactive, immersive and flexible for learners and less laborious and time-consuming for teachers. However, this innovation raises many concerns because it could not only hinder human interactions and socialization of learners but also perpetuate educational inequalities due to the digital divide. It is therefore essential to find the right …

In this paper, we willexamine the issue of teaching FLE (French Foreign Language) using dynamic methods to design learning sequences. The methodical framework makes it possible to design content capable of meeting the expectations of the target learners and achieving the objectives set by the general learning context. Certainly, there is a great challenge in diversifying methods due to the different variables encountered: learners' levels, their needs, teaching objectives (academic, professional, social, cultural...). Thus, FLE teaching must be open to new paradigms by creating contextual situations that stimulate different disciplines and several fields of knowledge. Interdisciplinarity in the educational sciences …

Key concepts include emotional actants (experiencer, allocator, orchestrator) and how emotions can be triggered by situations or cognitive representations. The article also discusses the cognitive components of emotions and introduces methods for tracking emotional experiences. Ultimately, it emphasizes the intertwined nature of argumentation and emotion, positioning argumentative situations as inherently emotional.
The Clinical Utility Of Measuring Emotion Dysregulation In Autistic Youth, Monica S. Trevino
The Clinical Utility Of Measuring Emotion Dysregulation In Autistic Youth, Monica S. Trevino
Dissertations
Autistic youth experience disproportionately high rates and severity of emotion dysregulation, which is linked to behavioral challenges, psychiatric comorbidities, familial stress, and increased emergency service and hospitalization use. Despite its clinical significance, emotion dysregulation in autistic youth remains relatively understudied and misunderstood, partly due to the lack of standardized assessment tools and limited research on its heterogeneity within autistic populations. In the present study, structural equation modeling was used to 1) validate the Emotion Dysregulation Inventory (EDI) and assess measurement invariance in a diverse sample and 2) explore associations among emotion dysregulation, autism symptoms, and related child and family characteristics, …

Adam Smith founded his investigations of economic and social exchanges on the roots of human action (sympathy, need, self-interest), unlike the utilitarians (Hume and the neoclassical economists), who centered theirs on the consequences of human action (pleasure, utility of outcome). This distinction is key to understanding the contrast between the two schools of thought, as we emphasize in this chapter.

Gender inclusion is not an optional part of library work—at least, it isn’t if we want all those “Libraries Are For Everyone” signs to be true. And yet, the reality is that many libraries fail the most basic aspects of gender inclusion for patrons, employees, or both. Even in libraries where Trans 101 trainings do occur and are well received, or where the baseline of knowledge among employees is relatively high, the question remains: What now?
This article intends to answer that question. Very broadly speaking, gender inclusion work in libraries means sustained action to ensure that some patrons and …

Mulberry leaf disease detection is vital for maintaining the health and productivity of mulberry crops. In this paper, a novel approach was proposed by integrating explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) techniques with a convolutional neural network (CNN) and vision transformer (ViT) for effective mulberry leaf disease classification with three disease classes. Initially, in this proposed CNN-ViT model, features are extracted using a customized CNN architecture, and then the extracted features are fed into ViT for leaf disease classification in a more streamlined approach. The CNN-ViT model achieved promising results with a projection dimension of 64, utilizing 8 heads and 8 transformer …

Survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of secondary medical conditions arising from disease and treatment effects. Secondary medical conditions are associated with adverse survivorship outcomes (e.g., neurocognitive, psychosocial, and adaptive functioning/healthcare transition) in adult survivors of childhood ALL. Little is known about secondary medical conditions in pediatric ALL survivors. Further, the relationship between secondary medical conditions and survivorship outcomes has not been explored in this younger population. This dissertation examined 1) the role of secondary medical conditions in performance-based and caregiver-reported neurocognitive, psychosocial, and adaptive functioning; and 2) the roles of secondary medical conditions and neurocognitive …
