The development of visual literacy skills is increasingly important for business students graduating into today's visually-driven business environment. Visual literacy (VL) encompasses the skills needed to find, interpret, use, create, and ethically engage with visual information (ACRL, 2022). Within a business context, VL skills allow students to enhance their presentations, communicate their messages effectively, visualize complex information or data into succinct visual representations, and tell compelling stories. This technological advancement in higher ed has pivoted instructors' pedagogical practices, making it challenging for professors to disseminate information and differentiate AI assistance with course assignments submitted by students. The study aimed at identifying the role of the practical courses at the Faculty of Media at the Middle East University in providing its graduates with skills in the media labor market. This study aimed at identifying the reflection of media academic education on professional practice. The study adopted the audience survey method. A questionnaire was distributed to an available sample of (102) professionals in Jordanian media institutions who hold a media certificate. This study aimed to identify the role of radio and television programmes in providing drug information to the Jordanian society. The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach, and two special questionnaires were developed for the study. The study sample consisted of (287) employees from the pharmaceutical sector (pharmacists, doctors), and (389) members of the Jordanian public who visited Hamzah and Al-Bashir Hospitals in Amman, Jordan. The Reality Of Media Training In Jordanian Media Institutions From The View Point Of Journalists - A Field Study, Kamel Khurshid Murad, Saddam Al-Mashagbah
Middle East Journal of Communication Studies
The article aimed to identify the reality of media training in Jordanian media institutions from the point of view of journalists in Jordan. It adopted a descriptive approach using a questionnaire distributed to a simple random sample of (66) journalists in the Radio and Television Corporation, Petra Agency, daily newspapers, some electronic news websites, the Journalists Syndicate and some satellite channels. The results revealed that 43.9% of the media institutions have departments for training, and 51.5% are interested in holding training courses at a medium rate.
