White matter hyperintensities (WMH) are frequently observed in brain scans of elderly people. They are asso-ciated with an increased risk of stroke, cognitive decline, and dementia. However, it is unknown yet if measures of WMH provide information that improve the understanding of poststroke outcome compared to only state-of-the-art stereotaxic structural lesion data.We implemented high-dimensional machine learning models, based on support vector regression, to predict the severity of spatial neglect in 103 acute right hemispheric stroke patients.We found that (1) the additional information of right hemispheric or bilateral voxel-based topographic WMH extent indeed yielded a significant improvement in predicting acute neglect …

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the correlation between ultrasonography (USG) and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and the accuracy between histopathological diagnosis and preliminary diagnosis in the diagnosis of periapical lesion. Methods: 20 patients with periapical lesion in the jaw, were included in the study. The presence of expansion or perforation and dimensions of the lesion were performed with CBCT. This thesis examines three indigenous households excavated on the Eastern Pequot reservation in North Stonington, Connecticut. Architectural artifact and spatial analyses, combined with historical documents, are utilized to understand reservation building practices of Native Americans navigating colonialism in the 18th and 19th century. The homes are small in design with at least one window and one stone chimney each. They all possessed cellars, but not all are stone-lined. Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of edentulousness on the temporomandibular joint using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Methods: In this study, CBCT images were evaluated in a total of 48 patients (24 dentulous, 24 edentulous). Ninety-six temporomandibular joint CBCT images were examined. Eminence inclination, condyle head widths and joint space were measured and statistically compared between the edentulous and dentulous groups. Under former Mayor Bill de Blasio, New York City launched a Community Schools Initiative (NYC-CS) in 2014 that now includes more than 300 schools, making it the largest school improvement plan of its kind in the country. Bloomberg, the previous mayor, had championed market-based reform strategies by closing struggling public schools and replacing them with privately run charter schools.
