Research has indicated that religious families influence the sexual education of their children. This qualitative phenomenological research addressed the research gap of how religious parents engage and communicate with their children concerning sexual education and sexuality. Bronfenbrenner’s multilevel ecological theory supported the notion of parents as first teachers developing the basis for socialization with family, relatives, neighbors, friends, church, schools, peer, and other groups in the community. The study included 10 qualitative data sets collected through guided interviews with parents in four separate conservative faith communities. The purpose of this study was to understand the lived experiences of undocumented first-generation Hispanic adolescents enrolled in a U.S. middle school and the effects of acculturative stressors on their academic performance. Domestic violence in Jamaica can be contextually understood through radical feminism and social learning theory used in this study to explain the patriarchal social structures, intergenerational transmission of intimate partner violence, and normalization of this behavior. This phenomenological study examined the criminal justice system's support of victims of intimate partner violence and results indicated reforms to improve initiatives to eradicate this violent conduct.
