AECOM conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey on June 24th, between July 28th and 30th, and on December 2nd, 2015 of the J. D. Murphree Wildlife Management Area (WMA) portion of the Port Arthur Pipeline Project (PAPL), located in Jefferson County, southeastern Texas. Fieldwork consisted of visual inspection, systematic probing, and systematic shovel testing of 5.91 miles (9.51 kilometers) and 135.3 acres (54.8 hectares) of survey area. AECOM excavated 45 shovel tests within the non-inundated portions of the project area. Oksanen of TxDOT’s Archeological Studies Branch conducted an archeological survey of the proposed 0.45 acre Area of Potential Effect (APE) as part of the environmental review process in support of the replacement of the existing bridge on County Road 622 at San Francisco Perez Creek in Medina County. In August 2017, Deep East Texas Archaeological Consultants (DETAC) conducted a cultural resource management survey of the proposed Farmersville sewer system improvements in Collin County, Texas (TWDB/THC #201700814) under Texas Antiquities Permit #7990. Proposed improvements include 12.3 km (7.6 mi) along seven pipelines along with modifications to three lift stations and the construction of four lift stations. An intensive archeological survey was completed in order to inventory and evaluate archeological resources within the footprint of proposed widening improvements to Farm-to-Market Road 2100 between Huffman-Cleveland Road and the proposed State Highway (SH) 99 (Grand Parkway) in eastern Harris County, Texas. The project is approximately 5.73 miles or 9.2 kilometers in length and has a typical width of between 150 to 220 feet or 45.7 to 67.0 meters. The APE is 147.37 acres or 83 hectares with 90.93 acres or 36.8 hectares of the total being new right-of-way. Typical roadway construction would occur within 2 feet or 0.6 meters, …

(MAC) conducted intensive archeological survey with shovel testing in accordance with Texas Historical Commission (THC) guidelines on an approximately 3.4-km-long Area of Potential Effects (APE) for a proposed hike and bike trail in the northeastern portion of the City of Laredo. The project area runs mostly west of a recently completed section of Bartlett Ave. between North Beach Lane and East Del Mar Blvd., just north of the Laredo International Airport (Figures 1 through 3). The proposed US 83 La Joya Loop Project is a new location roadway in southwestern Hidalgo County originating at US 83 and Showers Road near Havana and ending at US 83 approximately 0.8 miles east of FM 886 (El Faro Road) near the town of Peñitas. The Area of Potential Effect (APE) has an approximate length of approximately 10.5 miles with a total area of approximately 462.3 acres. In 2008–2009, Prewitt and Associates, Inc., performed testing and data recovery excavations at prehistoric site 41CV286 in Coryell County for the Texas Department of Transportation, Environmental Affairs Division, under Texas Antiquities Permit No. 4955. The investigations were prompted by the planned replacement of the County Road 314 bridge over Station Creek (CSJ No. 0909-39-117) just upstream from where it flows into the Leon River and were done in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the Antiquities Code of Texas.
