cigarette packs, Indonesian Government has priority to reduce the number of smokers

Researchers have struggled with decreases in response rates in surveys using traditional methods. Dropoff/pick-up (DOPU) surveys are an alternative that performs well in some research situations. For studies in small or compact geographic areas, DOPU has achieved higher response rates than mail surveys, although typically at higher costs due to labor and transportation. Other benefits include increased local awareness of research projects and improved outcomes for complex survey projects. This study addresses a gap in the literature regarding reference services at liberal arts institutions. The author conducted a literature review to examine the existing body of research on reference services and distributed a survey to the 80 member libraries of the Oberlin Group in February 2015. The study found that a wide range of reference practices are in place at liberal arts libraries and focused especially on the use of a designated reference desk, which is widespread. This article reviews recent trends in modes of conducting surveys and presents results from a series of experiments comparing different approaches for collecting survey data and improving response rates in general population studies. The modes examined include the telephone, mail, and a mixed-mode method which combines mail with Web data collection. A series of studies were conducted by the Oregon State University Survey Research Center from 2006-2014 using probability samples of Oregon residents. Getting a quality response to open-ended questions can be challenging but attending to the visual design of the question and using a motivational statement in the question can increase item response and data quality. Public intercept interviews provide a useful data gathering method for assessing locally salient topics. We describe a recent project to highlight public water perspectives in parks in two Utah cities, and we focus on the methodological considerations to expand applications of the public intercept survey method. Combining demographic survey information with open-ended interview data allows for validating samples against census information. An expanded informed consent process allows participants to make selections regarding data use and identification. Perhaps the most widely used means for assessing survey respondents’ personal attitudes consists of a series of stem-statements followed by an odd or even number of ordered, bipolar-named categories. Such statements, known as Likert items, are named for Rensis Likert whose classic studies of attitude measurement were first published in 1932. Almost from the beginning, methodologists and psychometric scholars have raised questions concerning the number of items deemed necessary to form an attitude scale, the number and meaning of various answer categories, and the appropriate statistical methods to use in analyzing the resulting data. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, pengambilan data dengan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini meliputi: anggota siswa SSB (3 orang), pelatih (1 orang), pengurus (1 orang) dan orang tua atlet (3 orang) SSB GAMA Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan tes kemampuan fisik bolabasket yang valid dan reliabel yang dapat digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat kemampuan fisik pemain bolabasket siswa SMA di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Subjek penelitian adalah 156 siswa SMA putra di DIY. Produk yang dikembangkan adalah tes kemampuan fisik bolabasket siswa SMA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi kondisi fisik dan teknik terhadap keterampilan menggiring bola (dribbling) atlet bolabasket putri junior di Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Partial least Square (PLS). Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes pengukuran dan rubrik. Tes pengukuran digunakan untuk mengukur faktor kondisi fisik yang terdiri atas 6 item dan tes keterampilan dribbling, kemudian rubrik digunakan untuk mengukur penilaian teknik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Perbedaan pengaruh antara latihan bench press menggunakan barbel dan latihan bench press dengan menggunakan medicine ball terhadap kemampuan tolak peluru, (2) Perbedaan pengaruh antara yang memiliki motivasi tinggi dan motivasi rendah terhadap kemampuan tolak peluru dan (3) Interaksi antara latihan bench press dan motivasi terhadap kemampuan tolak peluru. Sampel penelitian adalah 16 mahasiswa yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis varian (ANAVA) dua jalur pada taraf signifikanα = 0,050.
