The transport of fattening pigs is characterized by a strong human-animal interaction. Consequent handling is important because of animal welfare, meat quality and matching economic consequences. During road transport, human impact can be divided in different steps: 1) driving pigs from the pens via an alley to the trailer, 2) loading, 3) actual transport, 4) unloading to the lairage, and 5) the final phase driving pigs to the stunning. An inadequate design and a poor condition of the facilities will negatively affect the ease of handling pigs. The four Explosive Ordnance Disposal Marines were clearing the range of unexploded ordnance and consolidating it as part of an annual training exercise, according to a Marine report about the results of the investigation. The Marines moved 40-millimeter rounds into one area surrounding an M60 105-millimeter white phosphorous round that could not be safely moved, the investigation found. They were moving rounds from the consolidation point to the demolition pit when one of the rounds exploded in the demolition pit, causing the other 40- millimeter rounds at the consolidation point and the demolition pit to explode, the investigation found.

It is very dangerous to assume or extrapolate anything when it comes to bulk material properties and behaviour. Traditional methods for flow prediction, such as hand calculation or even just relying on past experience, require assumptions to be made about the bulk material properties and flow. Although these materials may have generic names and possess similar properties (e.g. coal, iron ore), they can all behave quite differently under dynamic conditions. This research addresses a critical issue of service level agreement (SLA) violation handling, i.e., time constraint violation related to service-based systems (SBS). Whenever an SLA violation occurs to a service, it can potentially impact dependent services, leading to unreliable SBS. Therefore, an SLA violation handling support is much required to produce a robust and adaptive SBS. There are several approaches to realizing exceptions and faults handling support for SBS, focusing on the detection stage, the analysis stage, and the resolution stage.
