Mulai dari tahun itu, pelaksanaan kursus INTAN di kedua-dua buah kampus adalah berpandukan prosedur kerja di bawah sistem kualiti yang ditetapkan berasaskan MS ISO 9001. Kajian sejauh mana keberkesanan pelaksanaan ISO dalam membantu peningkatan kualiti kursus INTAN tidak pernah dllakukan. Walaupun INTAN mengamalkan sistem penllaian maklumbalas peserta kursus di akhir setiap kursus, namun analisis penilaian tidak pernah dikaitkan dengan pelaksanaan ISO. This study investigates the causal relations and dynamic interactions among stock prices, real interest rate, real money balances and real activity in Malaysia using monthly data from January 1987 to December 2001. This full sample period is also divided into two sub-periods for analysis. The first sub-period covers January 1987 to August 1998 while the second sub-period covers September 1998 to December 2001. The conventional unit root tests suggest that all variables are integrated of order one. This finding is further supported by the results of the unit root test which allows for a structural break in the series. All …

The main purpose of this study is to empirically investigate the existence of seasonality in monthly stock returns and the relationship between seasonal return and firm size effect in the Malaysian equity mark.et. The sample consists of six Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) sectoral indices and Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) for the period from January 1987 to December 2001. Using trend and ratio analysis, this study analyses the performance of Islamic banking operations at three foreign banks in Malaysia i.e. HSBC, OCBC and SCB:MB. Using the data from 1996-2000, it is possible to track progress and evaluate performances of the Islamic Banking Scheme (IBS) versus its conventional counterpart at these banks. It is also possible to examine the impacts of the Asian Crisis in 1997-98 to the Islamic banking operations, especially at the foreign banks. This paper examines the export-led growth hypothesis in Malaysia over the last 30 years using current techniques in econometric analysis of non-stationary time series. In order to avoid model misspecification, this study employs a multivariate framework. The Anglo-Indian community and Anglo-Indian women in particular have been described as 'mixed-race' and 'hybrid'. This study seeks to explore the identity of Anglo-Indian women through the process of migration and settlement in Australia, by following the lives of twenty-six women. Twenty of these women emigrated from India between 1963 and 1977; one arrived in Australia significantly earlier in 1947 and another significantly later, in 1996. Four women were Australian-born. The paper will address if there is a need for a competition policy in Malaysia. We will start by explaining the basic objectives of a competition policy and why it is important. We will describe the various actions and policies used to curb unfair competition as well as discuss different policy frameworks taken by countries like USA, EU, Korea and Japan. A lot of focus has been placed on the interdependence of stock markets over the last two decades in view of the trend towards market deregulation and globalization of economies. Therefore, this paper attempts to examine the linkages among the stock markets pre- and post-1997 financial crisis.
