Fisheries Management Papers
The Specimen Shell Fishery in Western Australia is based on the collection of marine species of the phylum Mollusca for the purposes of display, collection, cataloguing, classification and sale. Specimen shells may be alive or dead at the time of take and include beach-washed shells. Fossilised shells do not constitute specimen shells. This document has been prepared to detail the legislative requirements of the Western Australian Government, as well as to fulfill the requirements under the Commonwealth Wildlife Protection (Regulation of Exports and Imports) Act 1982 to allow for the export of specimen shells from Western Australian waters and the …

Visual Aftereffect Of Texture Density Contingent On Color Of Frame, Frank H. Durgin
Visual Aftereffect Of Texture Density Contingent On Color Of Frame, Frank H. Durgin
Psychology Faculty Works
An aftereffect of perceived texture density contingent on the color of a surrounding region is reported. In a series of experiments, participants were adapted, with fixation, to stimuli in which the relative density of two achromatic texture regions was perfectly correlated with the color presented in a surrounding region. Following adaptation, the perceived relative density of the two regions was contingent on the color of the surrounding region or of the texture elements themselves. For example, if high density on the left was correlated with a blue surround during adaptation (and high density on the right with a yellow surround), …

Oregon Population Estimates and Reports
This report provides population estimates for Oregon, its counties, and cities for the years 1980 through 1995. As mandated by Oregon law (ORS 190.510 to 190.610), the Center for Population Research and Census at Portland State University acting on behalf of the State Board of Higher Education, annually estimates the July 1 population for each county and incorporated city in Oregon. These population estimates are used in the allocation of certain state tax revenues to cities and counties.
Population figures presented in this report represent all the people who usually reside in the area designated. This includes people living in …
