The purpose of this case study will be to solve the problem of agency costs in three of Virginia’s largest Smart Cities and to formulate a solution for public administrators to implement during smart city development. Mindfulness is a state of present moment-focused non-judgmental awareness, the purposeful practice of which has been shown to promote psychological well-being by alleviating past-oriented rumination, future-focused worry, and experiential avoidance. Because the most widely adopted mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) were developed based on Buddhist meditation practices, there have also been developed various religiously modified iterations of mindfulness–especially those tailored to Christian clients who are wary of engaging with Buddhist-derived practices. This study investigates how U.S. presidential candidates use the platform X (formerly Twitter) to frame and communicate their economic policy during the election campaign period. The research uses a quantitative content analysis method to select candidates' posts and systematically examine the frequency and patterns of economic themes posted by the candidates, drawing from the agenda-setting and framing theories. Moreover, this study aims to measure audience engagement (likes, reposts, comments) to see which message strategy resonates best. The research aims to investigate the perceived mass exodus of police officer departures alongside police officer retention rates throughout Minnesota. The study investigates whether high-profile police officer prosecutions together with national news incidents directly cause police officers to leave their jobs along with the Ferguson Effect taking place. This study explored how federal agents and psychologists collaborate to assist veterans and police officers receive offer mental health care. The study paid attention to the potential interplay of artificial intelligence and faith-informed models. Following IPA-based qualitative interviews with federal agents and psychologists and an extensive literature review, the study pointed out some barriers to seeking mental health services, including stigma, rigidity inside organizations, and less peer support. Intervention models that involve patients intensely have emerged as more effective ideas, which are used sparingly. The objective for this quantitative correlational study was to investigate how positive psychological factors, such as grit, resilience, and mental toughness, are related to employee perceptions of occupational stress. In this study, 115 full-time employees across various levels of occupational stress and risk, completed online surveys utilizing the Short Grit Scale (Grit-S), the Conner-Davidson Resilience Scale 10 (CD-RISC-10), the Mental Toughness Questionnaire 10 (MTQ10), and the Perceived Occupational Stress Scale (POS). The results indicated that grit, resilience, and mental toughness do not relate to perceptions of occupational stress. Communication training in police academies has historically been lacking across the nation. Prior research indicates that communication skills are necessary for law enforcement professionals. Recent incidents have indicated that a communication gap occurs between law enforcement professionals and community members. This Dissertation-in-Praxis focused on how City Gates Ministries, a nonprofit organization in Thurston County, Washington, improved its support for individuals and families facing homelessness and poverty by refining its operational systems. The initiative aimed to strengthen donation intake, inventory management, and furniture delivery, which had previously strained resources and hindered organizational consistency. Guided by biblical leadership principles, the project introduced cost-effective solutions like a barcode-based digital inventory system, color-coded signage, and modular volunteer training sessions. The study examined the predictive relationship between leadership and organizational effectiveness (EO) and the predictive relationship within Major Combat Units (MCUs) of the United States Military. Using archival data from the Defense Equal Opportunity Climate Survey (DEOCS) 4.1, a large cross-sectional sample of active-duty personnel was analyzed to evaluate how five leadership styles, Democratic/Participative, Transactional, Authoritative/Autocratic, Transformational, and Delegative/Laissez-Faire—predicted nine OE outcomes, including Job Satisfaction, Trust in Leadership, Group Cohesion, Connectedness, Engagement, Organizational Process, Organizational Performance, Perceptions of Senior Leadership, and organizational Commitment. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological research design was used to explore the lived experiences of parents regarding the application of faith-based CBT methods in response to feelings of failure, guilt, and the loss of a child due to suicide. This purpose addressed the problem of the lack of exploration of specific types of guilt, such as failure guilt, and their impact on post-traumatic stress symptoms among parents who have experienced the suicide of an adolescent. This study investigated the relationships between the three types of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), (abuse, neglect, and household dysfunction) and adult symptoms of anxiety, according to the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) scale. Beyond examining the bivariate relations of each ACE type with adult anxiety, this study also investigated if having at least one supportive adult in childhood moderated the relationships. As remote work reshapes the professional landscape, understanding how e-working conditions influence the need for autonomy, a core component of motivation and well-being, is increasingly important. This quantitative, correlational study explored the relationship between perceived e-working experience and the psychological need for autonomy among 120 U.S.-based information technology (IT) professionals. Contributing factors to a leader’s psychological well-being and their ability to be fully functional, mature, and self-actualized, are highly under-researched. This study examined the relationship of leader identity and leader efficacy on a leader’s psychological well-being. The study also explored whether a leader’s gender and leadership role level influenced their leader identity, efficacy, and psychological well-being. Participants were 165 working organizational leaders from a variety of industries, ages 19-72 years old with 1-40 years of leadership experience. Since the U.S. Department of Defense implemented statutory prohibitions to mitigate risks in acquisition supply chains and to incorporate national security measures in the acquisition process, high entry barriers have emerged, raising concerns about a perceived decline in the pace of defense innovation. This transcendental phenomenological qualitative study explored the lived experiences of Black male PhD graduates from CACREP- accredited counseling education programs who are now professors within the academy. It examined the integration of music as a coping mechanism to address the psychological impact of isolation, tokenism, and hypervisibility connected to attending predominantly white institutions (PWIs/ HWIs). As such, women who engage in casual sex may or may not have developed emotional attachments to their partners, which may impact sexual gratification. This study examines the differences in acculturation experiences between multiethnic and monoethnic Latino adolescents. Using a correlational quantitative design with multiple regression analyses, data was collected online from 100 participants (minors and adults) affiliated with the Spanish Eastern District of the Assemblies of God in the U.S. Northeast Corridor. The study found that age significantly predicted ethnic identity exploration, accounting for 21% of the variance: individuals aged 16–17 and 18–21 scored higher than those aged 13–15, while gender, ethnicity, and their interactions were not significant.
