A strategic step in the assessment of water availability for a given location is the prediction of the amounts and temporal variability of precipitation. Considering the present state of the art, long-term meteorological forecasts of precipitation are not adequately accurate or reliable for predictive use. Since most predictions are based upon simple statistical analyses of past rainfall records, they are inherently unsatisfactory In that preci pitation production processes are ignored. Determination of the causes of spatial and temporal variations in the amount of precipitation produced by particular atmospheric systems in specific locations is important in assessing water availability. Studies of the county seat's most visible expression noted the importance of the courthouse in the establishment of Middle Western urban places. synoptic meteorology almost always utilize the easily acquired National Weather Service weekly series of daily weather maps, issued every 24 hours at 7 A.M. eastern standard time (E.S.T.). These daily surface maps provide students with weather data from hundreds of weather stations in the continental United States. Students can use each map to compare and contrast weather patterns affecting several different parts of the country. A sequence of these daily maps allows students to attempt general weather forecasting using well-known weather relationships associated with the model middle latitude cyclone. Such fluctuations, integral to the weather system, often lead to drought or flood, and this influences crop production and commodity prices. Drought is a contributor to economic, social, and, on occasion, even political instability in both commercial and subsistence agricultural econ­omics. Particularly affected are areas such as India, China, parts of Europe, and the American Great Plains which include the Canadian "Prairies". The amount and quality of land are vital production factors in agriculture. In some Indiana counties, the agricultural land resource base is limited by the presence of excess water. The decision to drain potential agricul­tural land in Delaware County, In­diana, and the subsequent diffusion of that innovation has increased the amount and quality of land available for agriculture. Draining agricultural land is a practice which began in the eastern United States and diffused rapidly across the country during the 1800's. Jonas Wenger Hoover, a faculty member at Arizona State University from 1924 to 1943 died recently at the age of 90. His life was somewhat like a roller coaster, reaching highs and lows; for the first half of his life he was considered a gifted, in­telligent, and well-rounded man, and he was highly regarded as an author and teacher, but for much of his life he lived in obscurity and near the bottom of society. Introduction: Online dating is a popular way for individuals to connect today, and the visual elements of an online dating profile have become an essential part of online dating. The current study examined how media richness, visual blurriness, and beautification of an online dating profile’s visual elements would influence online dating outcomes.

Methods: We conducted an online dating experiment with 10 different conditions with younger adults between 18 and 35 (n = 389).

Results: The results showed that the richer visual elements and the beautified selfie in an online dating profile predicted a number of dating outcomes, including stronger …

Reconstructed land use and settlement maps along with recent archaeological and linguistic research have added new ideas concerning the origin, early migrations, and contacts of the Chippewa Indians. Very little is known about the culture and the area that the Chippewa occupied before the time of European influence. Although the location of large urban centers such as Seoul, Pusan, and Taegu has had a major impact on changes in the surrounding agricultural hinterland, regional differences of agricultural development in Korea have not received much attention until recently (Fig. 1). Keidel, for example, noted that Kyongi-do and Kyongsangnam-do have higher agricultural income levels than the remainder of the country because they produce commercial crops for Seoul and Pusan, respectively.1 More recently, after the construction of a modern highway between these two cities, Chungchongbuk-do and Kyongsangbuk-do provinces emerged as the major suppliers of commercial crops for Seoul and Pusan.
