What’S Next For Digital Outreach And Archives: A Swedish Perspective, Lisa Huntsha

Many archives today are not fully utilizing available technologies to best display collection materials online. In the days of “Archives 2.0,” we have the tools to assist users by providing greater access, context, and engagement with our collections, yet many archives are falling short of incorporating these tools. In the summer of 2014, I traveled to Sweden to see what Swedish libraries, archives, and museums were doing to facilitate online engagement with their collection materials. The Flipped Library Classroom At Georgia State University: A Case Study, M. Leslie Madden, Ida T. Martinez

Although the flipped classroom concept has gained attention in the media and professional literature in the past year, versions of this instructional delivery method have existed for some time. Librarians and other educators have created tutorials and other learning objects as a means of supplementing and supplanting traditional face-to-face instruction. Librarians at Georgia State University are experimenting with using learning objects to teach basic skills, while scheduling face-to-face workshops and instruction sessions to delve deeper into discipline-based research processes.
