New urban form movements in the United State such as, new urbanism, transit-oriented development, smart growth, and compact-city have been described as the most influential movement in the urban design and urban planning literatures since the modernist movement (Bramley & Morgan, 2003; McKenzie, 2004; Grant, 2006; Colantonio, & Dixon, 2011; Burton, Jenks, & Williams, 2003). In recent years, these theories’ principles have been adopted for many neighborhood design efforts.
