Analisis Gaya Syart Dalam Surah Al-Isra'., Syed Nazir Syed Ibrahim
Analisis Gaya Syart Dalam Surah Al-Isra'., Syed Nazir Syed Ibrahim
Student Works (2010-2019)
This is a research into Arabic syntax. It is a library research in its entirety for the purpose of getting a closer glimpse of the functions and applications of the syart particles. The forms of syart phrases and their responses in this language style are also investigated. The analysis of surah al-Isra’ provides a very clear evident of how this language style is very open and is widely utilized be it in the al-Quran or in conversations. The views and opinions of past and present grammarians that are forwarded in the discussion into the basic theory are meant to provide …
Initiatives Of Tv Ethics Control By Religions In Russia: Challenges For Implementation, Victor M. Khroul
Initiatives Of Tv Ethics Control By Religions In Russia: Challenges For Implementation, Victor M. Khroul
Occasional Papers on Religion in Eastern Europe
The diversity of attitudes of Russian society towards television coupled with many plots and subplots emerged in the public arena providing us with an opportunity to consider them as an indicators of the maturity of civil society in Russia. It is also an indicator of the level of influence that religions have in the public sphere and the content of TV programs. I will base my judgment on public declarations by authorities of the idea that Russia strives to build a civil society, rather than examining in details the discussion whether the existence of a civil society in Russia is …

Diabolical Ventriloquism: A Case Study In Rhetorical Transcendence With C. S. Lewis’S Infamous Imp Screwtape, Daniel J. Coyle
UNLV Theses, Dissertations, Professional Papers, and Capstones
Most religious discourse is predicated on the assumption that our choices in life have eternal implications. For those who subscribe to a belief in an afterlife, rhetoric which exploits eternity to form attitudes and induce actions can be especially persuasive. This study performs a detailed analysis of a particularly compelling case of the rhetoric of eternity during the twentieth century: C.S. Lewis‘s fictional demon Screwtape. In The Screwtape Letters and ―Screwtape Proposes a Toast,‖ Lewis offers readers an eternal, though diabolical, perspective of the ―modern‖ intellectual climate during the twentieth century. By puppeteering a demon in prose, Lewis satirically lampoons …

A Butterfly Effect: The Impact Of Marriage And Family Therapy Training On Students' Spouses, Carla M. Dahl, Mary L. Jensen, Jane L. Mccampbell
Faculty Publications
This qualitative study examines the impact of mar- riage and family therapy (MFT) training on the
marriages of trainees. Analysis of data from 18 spouses of alumni from a training program in an evangelical Protestant seminary found participants reporting mostly negative impacts related to time and finances, both negative and positive impacts related to role changes and adjustments, and mostly positive impacts related to marital communication. The additional contribution of this study has to do with the report of an overwhelmingly positive impact of systemic, integrative MFT training on the student’s faith as observed by their spouse and on the …

Wacana Cerita Dalam Al-Qur'an : Satu Kajian Dalam Surah Al-Kahf., Ahmad Fikri Haji Husin
Student Works (2010-2019)
Surah al-Kahf is a distinctive surah that looks into the narrative discourse through retrospections of some of the most amazing tales that had ever happened in the history of human civilisation and customs. It has 110 verses comprising four main stories: The Story of Asha:b al-Kahf (Cave Dwellers), The Story of Sa:hib al- Jannatayn (Owner of Two Orchards), The Story of the Meeting of Prophet Musa (Moses) and Khidr, and The Story of Dhul-Qarnain. This surah also tells a few anecdotes on the sideline that consist of idioms and comparisons through short tales of arrogance and devil’s deceptions, the consequences …
