This dissertation is entitled: 'The doctrine of Sadd al-Dhara'i, and its usage in preventing deviationist teachings: A study at JAKIM" The doctrine anses from a statement that sources of the Islamic Law are the basis to determining any legal matter and in solving human problems especially in the matter of deviation of belief. In order to arrive at an academic conclusion. this dissertation attempts to identify the said sources through al-Qur'an, al-Hadith or ijtihad of the Jurist. Gong Kemuning, Pasir Putih pada tahun 1915 dan telah pulang ke rahmatullah pada 9hb. Julai 1988. Beliau adalah Mufti Kerajaan Kelantan. This study is a new scientific study on the appointments of state heads in a Syura system in comparison with those of a Pancasila democracy system in Indonesia. Performance Of Islamic Banking Scheme At Foreign Banks : A Malaysian Case Study, Luqyan Tamanni

Using trend and ratio analysis, this study analyses the performance of Islamic banking operations at three foreign banks in Malaysia i.e. HSBC, OCBC and SCB:MB. Using the data from 1996-2000, it is possible to track progress and evaluate performances of the Islamic Banking Scheme (IBS) versus its conventional counterpart at these banks. It is also possible to examine the impacts of the Asian Crisis in 1997-98 to the Islamic banking operations, especially at the foreign banks. This study concludes that, during 1996-2000, Islamic banking operations at foreign banks have been performing considerably well, during and post the crisis. On average, …
