Purpose of the Study

The thesis of this study is that personality characteristics can be shown as factors in the variation of behavior which occurs during labor and childbirth. It is felt that if personality traits can be measured by a standard device they will correlate with various types of behavior expressed during labor. The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory is one instrument which tests all of the more important phases of personality. This test was chosen as the device to be used in this study to determine the personality traits of the women involved. Therefore, the purpose of this study …

It was the purpose of this study to compare the responses of a group of stutterers on the Rosenzweig Picture-Frustration Study with the norms established for that study to determine whether, as a group, they show any significant differences in (1) the direction of aggression, and (2) the type of reaction to frustration.

It is the purpose of the present thesis to determine the adjustment of a sampling of correspondence club members. The hypothesis is that the social adjustment of these individuals is inferior to that of the individuals used in two personality inventories. In addition, answers to these questions are sought:

The purpose of this study was to determine the mental attitudes of Lodi Union High School Girls toward their physical education program, and to arrive, on the basis of the findings, at constructive recommendations. One of the many causes of personality problems is the feeling of rejection. It may result in the individual's becoming hypersensitive, resentful, or demanding, particularly if this experience has occurred in the impressionable age of youth. It is my purpose in this paper to set forth some of the symptoms and responses that occur in the individual who has this feeling, and what avenues are open in the treatment of such maladjusted individuals.

Medical Arts and Sciences: A Scientific Journal of the College of Medical Evangelists

A concept of the causation of allergic disease herewith is presented in which, in addition to the allergic factors, emotional states and psychic stimuli are introduced as integral parts of every case. The adoption of the terms "intrinsic" for the neuropsychiatric factors and "extrinsic" for the organic factors in the production of allergic disease is suggested.
