The paper aims to present the awareness of library rules, use of library services and information access competency of the women faculty members (Mother Teresa Women’s University and its affiliated colleges) was investigated for their opinions and experiences about assorted techniques of information access. Data were collected through questionnaire method. Copies of the questionnaires were distributed to 87.59% of population i.e. 254 out of 290 women faculty members in their staff rooms with the permission and assistance of the registrar/principal. This study investigated the influence of social media use on library service delivery by librarians in the Federal Universities in South-West, Nigeria. The survey research design was adopted for the study. Total enumeration sampling technique was used to cover the librarians from the Universities. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire. A response rate of 95.4% was obtained. Frequency counts, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used for the data analysis. This research work assessed the strategic issue of marketing of web-based information resources and services via library websites in academic libraries in Nigeria. Current status of university library websites was examined in terms of visibility, online services/resources and networking with subject gateways, professional associations etc. The study adopted survey design, with population of 44 university library websites and sample size of 16 library websites. This article reports a survey on the students’ perception of new security measures in Nnamdi Azikiwe Library, University of Nigeria Nsukka. Data were collected by using a questionnaire and follow up interview with students of the institution. The response rate was 70%. This study presents census data of provision and support for students with special needs (usually known as disabled students) in libraries of special education professional degree awarding institutions (DAIs) and rehabilitation centers (RCs) acting in Lahore. Questionnaire was used as research instrument in this quantitative study. Provisions and supports in libraries of DAIs and RCs were illustrated on graphs covering overall students with disabilities and different disability areas – physical impairments, hearing impairments, and visual impairments. Faculty Perceptions Of The Value Of Academic Libraries: A Mixed Method Study, Kelly L. Heider, Sandra Janicki, Joann Janosko, Blaine Knupp, Carl Rahkonen

This article details the findings of a year-long study at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) Libraries which examined IUP faculty members’ perceptions of the value of library resources and services to both their research and teaching. Through a mixed-method study, which included an online survey and follow-up focus groups, the researchers found that faculty were dissatisfied with IUP Libraries’ marketing initiatives but satisfied with its small embedded librarian program. As a result, marketing and growth of the embedded librarian program became the two main focus areas for improvement in the next academic year.

This paper investigated students’ use of the campus wide network in accessing library resources and services in Nnamdi Azikiwe Library, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Nnamdi Azikiwe Library was selected because it is a University Library that has adopted wireless connectivity services so as to satisfy the needs of its community. Questionnaire was adopted as an instrument for data collection and was randomly distributed to the students. 1000 students selected using stratified random sampling, constituted the sample size out of a population of 39,000 students.
