This monthly report presents estimates of nonagricultural wage and salary employment in New Mexico, with comparisons to the previous month and the same month of the preceding year. Narrative summaries and statistical tables describe employment trends across major industries, including mining, construction, manufacturing, transportation and public utilities, trade, finance, services, and government. The report also provides average weekly earnings, weekly hours, and hourly earnings for selected industries and discusses seasonal and other factors affecting employment changes. Prepared by the Employment Security Commission of New Mexico in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages
The Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) is a comprehensive program that compiles data on employment and wages for workers covered by state unemployment insurance laws and Unemployment Compensation for Federal Employees (UCFE). It provides a virtual census of nonagricultural employees and their wages, along with data on agricultural industries. The QCEW program is a cooperative effort between the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and state employment security agencies.
