The Assimilation Of The Japanese In And Around Stockton, Horace F. Chansler Jan 1932

The Assimilation Of The Japanese In And Around Stockton, Horace F. Chansler

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

The problem of' the Japanese in California has been prominent since the opening of the twentieth century. Much has been written in an attempt to help solve the problem. Yet after the Immigration Law went into effect the problem of preventing undesirable Japanese from entering California became extinct. The International Attitudes Of Student In California High Schools, Paul M. Berry Jan 1932

The International Attitudes Of Student In California High Schools, Paul M. Berry

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

An eleventh-year group of American history pupils had been placed under my guidance in a nearby High School. Some four or five weeks after undertaking the task of teaching this group, the World War period chronologically made its appearance. Now, it was not my intention to teach the war in terms of battles, victories, territory lost, or territory regained. My all consuming objective was to attempt to create a dislike for war and all its attributes. This I sought dilligently to do in the following manner: At the beginning of this section one entire period was spent in discussing with …

A Pictorial Outline On Interior Decoration For The Average Small Home, Walter Murray Jan 1932

A Pictorial Outline On Interior Decoration For The Average Small Home, Walter Murray

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

This "Outline of Interior Decoration" is termed "Pictorial" because as much of its value lies in its pictures as in its text. Although emphasizing only the major points of the subject, it is however intended to provide a general study of Interior Decoration for the ordinary reader or the student. It is felt that for both this Thesis will offer an artistically sound and practical guide for the decoration of the simple, small house.

Some expensive …
