150 Years Since The Development Of The Periodic System Of Chemical Elements By D.I. Mendeleev, Yu. Ts. Oganesyan, Yu. E. Penionzhkevich

Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials

The year 2019 has been declared by UNESCO as the year of the Periodic Table of Elements. 150 years ago, an outstanding Russian scientist D.I. Mendeleev systematized the chemical elements known at that time by chemical properties and created a table of elements. Since then, almost 60 chemical elements have been added to those known 150 years ago. Now the table has 118 chemical elements, most of which were synthesized artificially, in particular, on charged particle accelerators. Especially vigorous growth in the synthesis and research of new heavy transfermium elements was observed during the last 20 years, when about 20 …

The Effect Of Cupc Nanostructures On The Photo And Electrophysical Characteristics Of The Active Layer P3ht/Pcbm, A. K. Aimukhanov, B. R. Ilyassov, A. K. Zeinidenov, A. V. Zavgorodniy

Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials

The paper presents the results of a study of the influence of copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) nanostructures on the generation and transfer of charge carriers in the photoactive P3HT/PCBM layer. It was shown that the observed broadening and the shift in the maxima of the absorption spectra of P3HT/PCBM upon the addition of nanostructures to the polymer are associated with an increase in the degree of crystallization of the film. Using the method of impedance spectroscopy, it was found that CuPc nanostructures enhance the rate of recombination of charge carriers, which is probably due to the formation of surface defects. These …

Methods Of Calculation Of Radiation Protection For Operational Safety Optimization At Working With Radionuclide Photon Radiation Sources, D. S. Kim

Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials

Operational dosimetry solves the problem of implementing the principle of optimizing radiation safety, which is closely related to regulation and justification and implies a realistic achievable reduction in the dose load on a person when using ionizing radiation sources by reducing operating time, increasing the distance to radioactive material and shielding for attenuation of ionization flux. The article describes two ways of determining the thickness of shielding under necessity of making operational decision to protect a person from radionuclide source of known activity or the dose rate created by it. Based on the required multiplicity of its attenuation, which allows …

Specific linear structures in the region of a big missing mass in the fission fragments mass correlation distributions were revealed due to effective cleaning of this region from the background linked with scattered fragments. One of the most pronounced structures looks like a rectangle bounded by the magic nuclei. The fission events aggregated in the rectangle show a very low total kinetic energy. We propose possible scenario of forming and decay of the multi-cluster pre-scission configuration decisive for the experimental findings.

Obtaining Homogeneous Silicon In The Process Of Alumothermic Reduction Of Silicon Dioxide, G. N. Chumikov, V. V. Klimenov, N. S. Tokmoldin, S. Zh. Tokmoldin

Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials

The influence of charge components on emergence of a homogeneous phase of silicon in the process of silicon dioxide reduction by aluminium has been studied. Optimal process parameters affecting the quality of the end product have been identified. These include the ratio of components of the synthetic charge (CaO, SiO2 , CaF2 ), the optimal amount of SiO2 , the optimal amount of a reducing agent (Al) and the optimal Si/slag ratio. The homogeneous phase of silicon is easily separated from the slag, which contributes to the reduction of waste silicon during further technological operations.

Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials

It is shown that when the parent nucleus has nn Borromean halo structure, then after Gamow-Teller (GT) β -decay of parent state or after M1 γ -decay of Isobar Analogue Resonance ( IAR ) the states with np tango halo structure or mixed np tango + nn Borromean halo structure can be populated. Resonances in the GT β -decay strength function Sβ (E) of halo nuclei may have np tango halo structure or mixed np tango + nn Borromean halo structure. Demonstrated that the nuclei with Z/N ≈ 0.6 may correspond to the SU(4) region.

Isobaric Resonances, Beta Decay And Delayed Multineutron Emission In Very Neutron-Rich Nuclei, I. N. Borzov, S. V. Tolokonnikov

Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials

The isobaric-analog resonancesfor nuclei around the neutron shell closures at N = 20, 50, 82 are treated in thefullyself-consistentDensityFunctionalplusContinuumQuasiparticleRandomPhaseApproximation (DF+CQRPA).The aim is to check how the self-consistency is preserved in the calculations for long isotopic chains. The beta-decay half-lives and delayed multi-neutron emission branchingare calculated for the reference Ni isotopic chain. The relative contributions of the GT and first-forbidden transitions are compared with that of the relativistic QRPA and Finite Amplitude Method. The accuracy of the global beta decay calculations performed within FRDM+RPA, DF+CQRPA and RHB+QRPA models are analysed.

The PITRAP-project for mass measurements of exotic nuclides is based on the use of high flux-reactor PIK and a high precision Penning trap mass spectrometry. This combination gives a synergy in exploration of different problems of fundamental physics: from astrophysics to neutrino physics.
