The difference of coal lithotypes is an important factor affecting the adsorption/desorption characteristics of coalbed methane (CBM) and the productivity of CBM wells. According to four coal samples of different lithotypes from No. 8+9 Coal Seam in Well BX-2, proximate analysis, maceral, wettability and isothermal adsorption/desorption experiments are carried out, and the influence of coal lithotypes on CBM adsorption/desorption characteristics and its mechanism is discussed. The results show that vitrinite content in dull, semi-dark, semi-bright and bright coal samples increases gradually, water and ash content decreases gradually, hydrophilicity decreases gradually, and the Langmuir volume increases gradually. Supercritical CO2 can destroy the molecular structure of coal and increase the production of biomethane. To investigate the gas production potential under the in-situ conditions of coal reservoirs with the participation of supercritical CO2, the original reservoir pressure, reservoir temperature, and gas composition of the target coal seam in a coalbed methane block in Xinjiang were used as the in-situ reservoir conditions. The scientific evaluation of favorable CBM blocks concerns the deployment of CBM exploration and development and the maximization of benefits. Finding out the development characteristics of coal seam fractures is of great significance for coalbed methane exploitation and safe production of underground coal mines. Logging and seismic are effective means of geophysical identification of coal seam fractures. This paper examines the effect of different residential electrical load profiles (electrical energy consumption patterns within a day) on energy charges for customers with solar panels under different Southern California Edison time-of-use (TOU) rate plans. We identify the TOU plan which would be the most cost effective for solar customers with each load profile. For the purpose of clarifying the correlation between Acoustic Emission(AE) and rupture response characteristics and loading rate in the failure and instability of hard rocks, uniaxial compression tests and acoustic emission tests were conducted on hard rock-like material samples at different loading rates to analyze the characteristics of mechanical parameters, AE phenomena and rupture response characteristics of hard rock-like material, and to obtain the early warning information of the rock failure based on the information on AE parameters. Hydro-geochemistry analysis is an important method for CBM exploration and development research. In this paper, the distribution characteristics of salinity, H/O stable isotope and ion concentration in sample water was investigated, and the optimal CBM development area was analyzed by the characteristics of regional structural distribution and the CBM development history. The testing water was from the No.3 CBM well of the Shanxi Formation Permian system in the Lu’an Mining area in the south-central part of Qinshui Basin. In order to study the mechanical properties and acoustic emission (AE) characteristics of sandstone with different grain sizes in the process of damage and failure under saturated and natural conditions, we carried out uniaxial compression tests and AE tests on three kinds of sandstone under saturated and natural conditions to study the mechanical properties and AE characteristics under the uniaxial stress state. The test results show that the average compressive strength of coarse-grained sandstone, medium-grained sandstone, and fine-grained sandstone are 54.23 MPa, 53.56 MPa, 59.46 MPa respectively under natural conditions, and 35.62 MPa, 31.79 MPa and 29.10 MPa under saturated …
