The development degree of natural fractures is the main factor affecting coalbed methane productivity. In order to accurately obtain the distribution position of the natural fractures in the a coalbed methane field in the southern Qinshui basin, 7 refracturing wells in the area were adopted by surface microseismic vector scanning to monitor the natural fractures. A certain amount of three-component geophones were deployed around the fracturing well to collect microseismic events in the surrounding reservoir during fracturing, and after Semblance superposition, the fracture energy slices at different times in the monitoring area were obtained to explain the natural fractures in …

Discussion On The Three-Dimensional Development Model Of The Old Well Pattern In Coalbed Methane Field, Li Jun, Zhang Cong, Zhang Jianguo, Peng He, Cui Xinrui, Zhu Min
Coal Geology & Exploration
In order to increase the degree of production of CBM development blocks, when the production of a single well enters a decline period, the development plan needs to be adjusted, and the production increase and stability can be achieved through the measures such as layer adjustment or layer compensation. In terms of time, it is believed that the main coal seam should be developed first when it is put into production. After the decline period, the secondary main coal seam should be supplemented and combined; in space, combined with the development dynamics, the analytic hierarchy process is used to determine …

Layer-Penetrating Staged Fracturing Law Of Horizontal Wells Within Roof Of Coal Seams Under Stress Interference, Xu Yaobo
Coal Geology & Exploration
Layer-penetrating fracturing is the key link to improve production in horizontal well within roof, and stress interference has important influence on layer-penetrating segmental fracturing effect in the horizontal well within roof. Therefore, the layer-penetrating segmental fracturing numerical model of horizontal well within roof is set up, the influence law of fracture propagation on stress interference to layer-penetrating segmental fracturing is studied. The results show that:the rock mechanics parameters, the interval distance and the fracturing construction method are the three important factors affecting the intersegment disturbance of the horizontal well within roof. As the Poisson's ratio of the coal seam goes …

Reasons Of Low Yield And Stimulation Measures For Cbm Wells In Junlian Area, Li Ying, Zheng Rui, Luo Kai, Zhu Yanming, Zhang Yimin
Coal Geology & Exploration
Coalbed methane fields in Junlian area have good development potential, but the existence of a large number of low-production and low-efficiency wells has restricted the increase of productivity. This paper analyzes the coupling relationship between high-productivity wells and geological factors from the perspective of geological engineering integration, analyzes the causes of inefficient wells from three aspects of geology, drainage and engineering, and evaluates the corresponding reform measures. The results show that the formation of inefficient wells in the north and the west of the study area is mainly affected by gas-bearing properties, fault distribution, production horizons, production and drainage rhythms, …

In order to study the distribution characteristics of free gas content in coal reservoirs, based on the understanding that free gas mainly exists in coal pores, the estimation method of free gas content is optimized. Based on the test data of coalbed methane arameters of 42 groups of coals with different ranks from lignite to anthracite in typical coal-bearing areas of China, the free gas content of different coal samples were calculated by using the optimized method of free gas content estimation, and compared with the results of desorption gas content. The results show that the ratio of free gas …

Materials Studio(MS) software was used to establish a slit pore molecular model which considers the in-teractions among water-bearing coal, foam agent and foam stabilizer. Based on molecular diffusion theory, the diffusion ability of methane molecule respectively affected by four common foam agents and four foam stabilizers was calculated. Compared to original water-bearing coal, self-diffusion coefficient of coalbed methane(CBM) is reduced by 71.3%, 74.7%, 56.3%, 54.0% after adding foaming agents including sodium dodecyl sulfonate(SDS), sodium lauryl sulfate(SLS), sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS) and lycine respectively. Based on adding SDBS into water-bearing coal, the self-diffusion coefficient of CBM is further reduced by 63.2%, …

Geological Characteristics And High Efficiency Development Technology Of Coalbed Methane In Duijiangnan Coal Mine, Guizhou Province, Gong Zewen
Coal Geology & Exploration
The development progress of coalbed methane in Duijiangnan mine field is slow. The main problems are low drilling efficiency, serious cementing leakage, long fracturing transformation period and low single well production in the block. Objectively evaluating the geological characteristics and development technology of coalbed methane is very im-portant for coalbed methane in the future. The coalbed thickness, coal body structure, reservoir pressure, gas content and permeability are systematically studied, combining with the past drilling, fracturing and drainage practices. It is proposed that directional wells are the main method of coalbed methane development in the coalfield. The coal seam M18 which …
