New Sources of Water for Energy Development and Growth: Interbasin Transfers: A Short Course (Summer Conference, June 7-10)
Even before the [Natural Resources Law] Center was established [in the fall of 1981], the [University of Colorado] School of Law was organizing annual natural resources law summer short courses. To date four programs have been presented:
- July 1980: "Federal Lands, Laws and Policies-and the Development of Natural Resources"
- June 1981: "Water Resources Allocation: Laws and Emerging Issues"
- June 1982: "New Sources of Water for Energy Development and Growth: lnterbasin Transfers"
- June 1983: "Groundwater: Allocation; Development and Pollution"

Geometries And General Features Of Some Cenozoic Valleys And Valley Fills, Western Nebraska, Robert F. Diffendal Jr.
Geometries And General Features Of Some Cenozoic Valleys And Valley Fills, Western Nebraska, Robert F. Diffendal Jr.
School of Natural Resources: Faculty Publications
Portions of Tertiary and Quaternary valleys and valley fills have been exhumed by recent stream erosion at many sites in western Nebraska. Paleovalleys vary from narrow, steep-sided, high gradient tributary gullies less than 0.1 km wide to broad, flat-floored valleys produced by lateral erosion. Segments of valley floors may be nearly smooth in the case of a Quaternary example, or may be very irregular with potholes and other deep scour features. Paleovalley sides, when exposed, are often steeply sloping, and approaching or possibly going beyond the vertical where the valleys have been eroded into the Brule Formation. Paleovalleys range in …
Land Degradation In The Fitzroy Valley Of Western Australia, Department Of Agriculture, Western Australia. Rangeland Management Branch
Land Degradation In The Fitzroy Valley Of Western Australia, Department Of Agriculture, Western Australia. Rangeland Management Branch
Resource management technical reports
The report reassesses the condition of formerly valuable grazing lands of the Fitzroy River valley frontage lands. It is hoped that the submission will promote discussion on the problems of degenerated pastoral land and increase the resolve of all concerned to take the necessary action for their restoration. The frontage lands flank the major rivers of the area, the Fitzroy, the Margaret and the Meda and their tributaries. The frontage is capable of supporting the best pastures in the Kimberley, but unwise and uncontrolled stocking has profoundly degraded and eroded the most productive parts. There are about 5,800 square kilometres …
The Reclamation Of The Victory Mine Site, Vigo County, Indiana, Carla J. Badger
The Reclamation Of The Victory Mine Site, Vigo County, Indiana, Carla J. Badger
All-Inclusive List of Electronic Theses and Dissertations
This study was involved with the physical and socioeconomic aspects related to the reclamation of the Victory Mine located in Vigo County, Indiana. The Victory Mine is an abandoned slope mine which includes 165 acres of gob and slurry. During the past ten years the site has been used as a sanitary landfill utilizing the gob as a covering agent. Pollution of Honey Creek, a tributary to the Wabash River, has been caused by sediment and acid mine drainage from the Victory Mine. Possible reclamation procedures were outlined for the Victory Mine site. Physical aspects included soils, surface and ground …
