Water resources data for the 1976 water year for Nebraska consist of records of stage, discharge, and water quality of streams; stage and contents of lakes and reservoirs; and water levels and water quality in wells and springs. This report contains discharge records for 146 gaging stations; stage and contents for 9 lakes and reservoirs; water quality for 40 gaging stations, 18 ungaged stations, 27 partial-record flow stations, and 96 wells; and water levels for 66 observation wells. Also included are 114 crest-stage partial-record stations and 12 low-flow partialrecord stations. Additional water data were collected at various sites, not part …

Biostratigraphy Of The Snowshoe Formation (Jurassic) In The Izee Area, Grant County, Oregon, Paul Lawrence Smith
Dissertations and Theses
Using the standard Jurassic zonal scheme, this work attempts to determine the ages of the four members of the Snowshoe Formation that crop out in the Izee area. As a corollary, regional correlations are possible. The stratigraphic relationship between the Snowshoe Formation, the subjacent Hyde Formation and the superjacent Trowbridge Formation is also investigated.
Over one thousand fossils were collected from five stratigraphic sections and eight localities. The sections were measured using tape and compass techniques and the relative stratigraphic ranges of the fossils calculated using a computer program written specifically for this project. This publication contains (1) Nebraska laws pertaining to groundwater, and (2) the duties assigned to or the rules and regulations developed by various Nebraska agencies charged with the regulation of groundwater use. Following public hearings, rules and regulations can be changed at any time by state agencies. Each state agency with responsibility for groundwater regulation is able to supply, upon request, its rules and regulations pertaining to groundwater use. Water legislation varies from state to state because of differences in climate, availability and utilization of water, and fundamental legal concepts inherited at the time of statehood. A Revision Of The Genus Strategus (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae), Brett C. Ratcliffe
Bulletin of the University of Nebraska State Museum (1924–2023)
The New World genus Strategus Kirby is here defined and revised for the first time. Eight species are described as new: S. atlanticus, S. caymani, S. craigi, S. hipposiderus, S. howdeni, S. longichomperus, S. symphenax, and S. tarquinius; 12 new junior synonyms are established (including the rejection of six previously valid species)'; one species is raised from synonymy; and two new replacement names are proposed. Strategus now contains one fossil species and 31 valid extant species. A key to the males and females of all the species is provided for the first …

A new species of Pliocene peccary, Prosthennops (Macrogens) graffhami; is described from the Kimball Formation, Ogallala Group, Frontier County, Nebraska. This new species is the latest in geologic age and most advanced in the genus.
The remains of fossil vertebrates are generally rare in the upper part of the Ogallala group, and some have maintained that Hemphillian faunas such as Coffee Ranch and Smith County, Kansas, represent the latest Ogallala faunas. Later faunas than are typically considered as Hemphillian, containing more advanced forms, occur in the Kimball Formation and deposits of equivalent age. Known faunas which may …
