Effects Of Residue Levels Of Glean On Lupin Growth, And Possible Synergism By Hoegrass., Terry Piper, Patrick Pigott
Effects Of Residue Levels Of Glean On Lupin Growth, And Possible Synergism By Hoegrass., Terry Piper, Patrick Pigott
Experimental Summaries - Plant Research
Trial 87PE37
This trial was conducted to confirm the results of 86WH53 and 87WH64. The trial commenced in September and in a glasshouse thus temperatures were higher and growth faster then in the field trials.
There are no significant effects of soil applied Glean or Hoegrass, and no interaction between the two herbicides.
In contrast, there is a very significant stunting of plants by Glean applied post emergence if Hoegrass is co-applied, but not by Glean alone.
Effects Of Residue Levels Of Simazine On Wheat Growth, And Possible Synergism By Glean., Terry Piper, Patrick Pigott
Effects Of Residue Levels Of Simazine On Wheat Growth, And Possible Synergism By Glean., Terry Piper, Patrick Pigott
Experimental Summaries - Plant Research
Trial 87PE36
A previous field test 86N33 had suggested that an apparent simazine residue affect on wheat growth might be exacerbated by Glean. This trial was carried out to further test the herbicide combination.

Doublegees in pasture are a major concern of many farmers in most of the agricultural areas in Western Australia. In pasture, doublegees tend to compete strongly the first year after crop and then decline in subsequent years. When cropped, doublegees again appear in large numbers. Unfortunately, the WADA recommendation for doublegee control in pasture of Tribunil at 850 g/ha is now very expensive at $17/ha. A possible alternative is 2,4-D amine, but medics are very sensitive to this. 2,4-DB is another recommendation, but this tends to have low efficacy against doublegees and …

Trial 86SG25 - Salmon Gums Research Station
There was no apparent evidence of chlorsulfuron carryover at either site, although the medic stand was visually assessed as thinned on 19/8/1987. In the absence of grazing pressure however, the remaining plants compensated by 25/9/1987.
Trial 87WH64 : The effects of low levels of Glean on lupins, in the presence of Hoegrass or Fusilade. Wongan Hills Research Station
This trial is a duplicate of 86WH53 and the results can be considered together.
Statistical analysis has shown a very highly significant effect of Glean on lupin growth in 1987, and on seed yield in …
