The increase in new cases of drug resistance to first-line drugs such as ethambutol (ETB) makes it necessary to develop improvements for antituberculosis drugs. A new method for improving the bioavailability of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) was investigated for preventing drug resistance and side-effects of antituberculosis drugs. In this study, an antituberculosis drug delivery system using β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) as the supramolecular carrier of ETB was prepared using the kneading method. A facile and sensitive colorimetric detection method for sildenafil citrate (SLDC) has been developed by using polyvinyl alcohol-citrate-stabilized silver nanoparticles (PVA-Cit-AgNPs). The sensitivity and selectivity of colorimetric detection were investigated in detail. The PVA-Cit-AgNPs could be induced to aggregate immediately in the presence of SLDC, especially after the addition of 0.1 M HCl solution. The SLD could be detected by the colorimetric response of AgNPs that could be monitored by a UV-Vis spectrophotometer or even the naked eye. In this research, a combined photocatalytic and biological treatment is proposed for the elimination of pollutants present in textile wastewater using a natural erionite zeolite (PE) and aluminum oxide (PA) synthesized by the sol-gel method as photocatalysts, and solar radiation. In this study, the performance of chitosan based semi-IPN nanocomposite hydrogels for the adsorptive removal of basic violet 14 (BV14) from aqueous solution has been explored. Batch adsorption studies were conducted to determine the effect of various parameters on BV14 adsorption, and optimum values were reported as pH of 8, the adsorbent dosage of 0.025 g, initial BV14 concentration of 5 mg L-1 and contact time of 90 min at a temperature of 25 °C. As a potent antibacterial, antifungal or antiviral material, synthesis of quaternarized epoxidized soybean oil was demonstrated in this work. The first step of the synthesis is the reaction of epoxidized soybean oil (ESO) with 2-chloroethyl maleic acid (Cl-MA-ESO). The last step is quaternarization of this condensate with triethylamine (Q-MA-ESO). All the synthesized monomers were characterized by FTIR and 1H NMR techniques. In this study, the curcumin imprinted and the non-imprinted poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-N-methacryloyl-Ltryptophan) (poly(HEMA-MATrp)) nanoparticle based surface plasmon resonance (SPR) nanosensors were prepared for the detection of curcumin and characterized by zeta-size analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. After, the curcumin imprinted and the non-imprinted nanoparticles are attached on the surface of SPR chips. In this research, a new ferromagnetic-recoverable core-shell Fe3O4@SiO2@CuO nanocomposite of a certain size (20-25 nm) has been synthesized based on Cu(II) complex coated on Fe3O4@SiO2@CuO nanoparticles by facile and fast solid state microwave irradiation method. The photocatalytic activity of the nanocomposite was investigated for degradation of methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) dye pollutants in aqueous media under solar light irradiation. The nanocomposite could destroy these dyes with high efficiency in short time. A nanocomposite containing Fe3O4, chitosan (Ch), and hexacyanoferrate (HCF) was synthesized in the form of powder. The physicochemical properties of this nanocomposite are determined using different techniques including Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). To be used as Na-ion battery anodes, hard carbon electrodes are synthesized from biomass, explicitly hazelnut shell (HS): via hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) followed by further pyrolysis at different temperatures (500, 750, 1000 °C). Then, the resulting hazelnut shell-based hard carbons are investigated using various methods including Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, galvanostatic charge/discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The effects of binders (PVdF, Na-alginate, CMC, and PAA) on electrochemical performance are determined. In this study, selective hydrogenation was carried out on diphenylacetylene as a model of alkyne compounds using NaBH4 as a hydrogen source and NiCo bimetallic nanoparticles supported on mesoporous carbon (NiCo/MC) as a catalyst. The oxidation of ethylbenzene (EB) using tert-butyl hydroperoxide as the oxidizing agent was carried out in presence of gold nanoparticles (3 nm) supported on zinc oxide in acetonitrile solution. A higher selectivity towards acetophenone (ACP) as the major product, and a moderate selectivity towards other products such as 1-phenylethanol (PE), benzaldehyde (BZL), and benzoic acid (BzA) were observed using the prepared Au/ZnO nanocatalysts at 100 °C for 24 h. In this study, 7 new isoxazole compounds (8-14) were synthesized from the cyclization of chalcone compounds (1-7) containing different functional groups with hydroxylamine hydrochloride in alkaline medium. Tyrosinase and antioxidant properties of 8-14 were investigated. IC50 values for the tyrosinase enzyme inhibition of compounds 8, 11, 12, and 13 were varied between 61.47 ± 3.46 and 188.52 ± 5.85, while compounds 9, 10 and 14 did not show any inhibition effect. The antioxidant properties of 8-14 were investigated by DPPH and CUPRAC methods. Compound 12 showed the best DPPH radical scavenging activity (SC50: 40.21 ± 2.71), while 12 and 13 …
