This study aims to investigate the optimal color space and chemometric technique for digital image colorimetry to determine ethanol content (% v/v) in apple, orange, and grape juices, using potassium dichromate (K2Cr2O7) under acidic conditions. The accuracy of colorimetric–chemometric integration across various color spaces (RGB, HSV, CIELab, CMYK, CIELuv, CIEXYZ, and CIELch) was benchmarked against UV–Vis spectrophotometry using metrics such as coefficient of determination (R²), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), and root–mean–squared error (RMSE). This investigation aims to synthesize, analyze the molecularity, and test the ability of bacterial inhibition capability of silver nanoparticles that have been synthesized by simply mixing silver nitrate and aqueous extracts of marine natural products with and without the addition of amylum as a stabilizing agent. This research, with and without the addition of amylum as a stabilizing agent, obtained 39.0 and 55.2 mg of solids of round-shaped morphology silver nanoparticles with diameters of 87.9 and 103.0 nm., respectively. Ancient potteries offer valuable information regarding technological advancements, life dynamics, cultural diversity, and trade routes in the past. Earthenware, stoneware, and porcelain from Southeast Asia have been characterized using several analytical techniques, as reviewed in this article. Fluorescent and diffracted X-rays give rise to elemental and phase compositions, respectively. Examination of molecular bonds requires vibrational spectroscopy, which is useful for the identification of organic materials in ancient potteries. Amino acids and their complexes are organic or semiorganic materials that have attracted considerable attention because they can be easily used in optical storage devices. DL-alanine is one of the rare amino acids that crystallizes in anoncentrosymmetric group. This article demonstrates how DL-alanine potassium dichromate (DAPC) single crystals have shown sufficient growth. DAPC crystals were analyzed by single crystal X-ray diffraction and powder X-ray diffraction. C-type lectins (CTLs) are an important mediator of virus infection in A. aegypti. Square wave voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry, chronocoulometry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were employed to assess ascorbic acid’s electrochemical behavior in multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)/carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified by 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-metafluorobenzoyl-5-pyrazolone (HPMmFBP). The ascorbic acid’s irreversible oxidation peak appeared at approximately 0.5 V. The shifting of the peak potential at the pH range of 6.0–8.4 showed the involvement of protons in the ascorbic acid oxidation. Moreover, the shifting of the peak potential with scan rate in the range of 0.07–0.4 V/s confirmed that the oxidation reaction was irreversible. The kinetics of ethanolamine oxidation by acidified KMnO4 was investigated in the absence and presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) was investigated using a pseudo-first-order kinetics approach, with [ethanolamine]o >> [KMnO4]o. This work presented the electro-optical effect of the homologous series 4-n-alkyl-sulfanyl-4'-isothiocyanate-biphenyl (N1SC13H8-SH2n+1Cn) under an electric field with terahertz (THz) frequency. The increase in alkyl sulfanyl chain length reduces the birefringence but increases the order parameter in THz frequency. An inverse relationship exists between the birefringence and order parameter. Meanwhile, the increase in alkyl sulfanyl chain length increases the refractive index with an even–odd effect. To determine the free-radical scavenging activity and total phenolic content of the ethanol extract of Poinsettia leaves (Euphorbia pulcherrima Willd.) from Lombok Island, we used the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl method and expressed the total phenolic content as gallic acid equivalent (GAE) per gram of ethanol extract. The results show the strong antioxidant activity (79.77 ppm) of the ethanol extract of red Poinsettia leaves and the moderate antioxidant activity of green Poinsettia leaves (118.350 ppm). The ethanol extracts of red and green Poinsettia leaves possessed an average of 63.276 ± 0.228 and 22.715 ± 0.090 mg GAE/g extract total phenolic contents, respectively. …

In this study, a screen-printed electrode (SPE) for nitrite (NO2) sensing was fabricated through an inkjet printing technique using a commercial printer machine and preparing an ink composite solution containing graphene oxide (GO) and poly(3,4 ethylenedioxythiophene) poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) as conductive materials. The optimum ink materials for SPE fabrication comprised GO and PEDOT:PSS with binders that resemble the viscosity of commercial ink. Herein, bionanocomposites of chitosan (CS)/silver nanoparticle/organoclay/zinc oxide nanoparticle (CS/Ag/OC/ZnO) were prepared for antibacterial food packaging. This study examines the time variation in the AgNP synthesis method by comparing local (74˗85% deacetylated) and commercial chitosan (75%˗85% deacetylated) as a reducing and capping agent and seeks to reconstruct the optimum ratio formulations of AgNPs and ZnONPs in bionanocomposites for food packaging. The results reveal that the synthesis of AgNPs was successfully carried out using a local chitosan solution as a reducing and capping agent. We used photoacoustic imaging (PAI) to visualize and compare acoustic intensity levels in pneumonia-affected and healthy chicken lungs. After histological confirmation of pneumonia, the samples were scanned and subjected to a 532-nm diode laser in a photoacoustic imaging system. The acoustic intensity level of pneumonia-affected tissue was examined and compared with that of healthy lung samples. The optimum laser frequency and duty cycle for imaging the samples were 17 kHz and 30%, respectively. We developed a low-cost dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) using TiO2 fabricated via rapid breakdown anodization (RBA) and ultrafast room-temperature crystallization (URTC). The prepared TiO2 was deposited on a self-made fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) conductive glass, and the FTO/TiO2 system was sensitized using curcumin dye. In this study, a quinoline-4-carboxylic acid derivative was synthesized through Pfitzinger reaction. In this reaction, isatin is modified via its reaction with ketone and refluxed for 24 h to obtain quinoline-4-carboxylic acid. The presence of a carboxylic group was identified by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and ultraviolet–visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometry. The results showed that the absorption peaks of C=O and O–H stretching’s were detected in the range of 1724–1708 and 3436–3242 cm−1, respectively. The Napier grass was modified via a mild acetylation process to improve its hydrophobicity. The modification increased the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area of the grass from 180.07 to 271.13 m2/g. Carbon dioxide (CO2)-induced corrosion often occurs in the structural materials of geothermal industry. The presence of CO2 influences the formation of various corrosion products. This research investigates the effect of dissolved CO2 in acidic brines on the corrosion behavior of AISI 4140 steel at atmospheric pressure. The brines were the standard brine, Ca-free brine, and high-salinity brine. The corrosion behavior was studied using electrochemical and immersion tests. In this work, hydrazone, thiosemicarbazide, diamide, and dipeptide derivatives were prepared from the glycine and β-alanine hydrazide of 4-hydroxy-2-oxoquinoline. The desired derivative resulted from substitution, hydrazinolysis, condensation, and azide coupling reactions. The fabricated derivatives were screened for anticancer characteristics toward human’s colon carcinoma (HCT-116) cell line using the 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide viability assay, while antioxidant property was examined using an in vitro H2O2 scavenging method. The β-alanine hydrazide derivative 3a showed a remarkable IC50 value of 18.8 μg/mL, whereas its corresponding thiosemicarbazide 5b exhibited moderate activeness with an IC50 value of 26.89 μg/mL. This study investigated the feasibility of using copper slag (CS-C) as a raw material in the production of Portland cement (PC). The effect of addition of 0%-3.5% CS-C on the clinkerization process, mineralogy, microstructure, and compressive strength development was studied. The Presence of CS-C in the raw mix resulted in the reduced temperature of clinkerization by about 50 °C. Asymptomatic bacteriuria (ASB) is the presence of bacteria in apparently healthy individuals. Although, the prevalence varies widely with age, gender, and the presence or absence of genitourinary abnormalities, the detection of pathogenic bacteria in urine constitutes firm evidence of infection.
