The Seedskadee Project is a participating project in the Colorado River Storage Project. Principle features of the project are the Fontenelle Dam, Powerplant, and Reservoir. The project is located on the Green River some 24 miles southeast of LaBarge, Wyoming in Lincoln County. The dam is located at latitude: 42.0285593 - longitude: -110.0604315. The project features, along with worker housing, were built beginning in 1961 and completed in 1964. The houses and associated infrastructure (road) are in need of extensive renovation. The Bureau of Land Management is responsible for the welfare of wild horses. The wild horse program is under constant scrutiny by the public for actions concerning wild horse management and gathering. Within the Rawlins field office (RFO) there is a substantial acreage of "checkerboard" lands. Approximately 50 percent of these lands are BLM-administered public lands and 50 percent are private lands controlled by many private entities. The northern portition of the gather area contains this type of land pattern.

A review of existing land-use planning decisions is being conducted to evaluate how to best manage public lands, resources, educational opportunities, and other values associated with the recent discovery of dinosaur tracks on BLM-administered public lands near Shell, Wyoming. The tracks were not addressed in the Washakie Resource Management Plan (RMP) which was completed in 1988. A review of BLM's planning decisions for the discovery area is needed to evaluate the adequacy of existing management prescriptions for the protection of the tracks and related values.

In 1982, a federal coal lease was issued for approximately 60% of the federal coal lands located in the Carbon Basin. Because this lease was still in effect at the time the current BLM land use plan (the Great Divide Resource Area Resource Management Plan-RMP-1990) covering the Carbon Basin area was prepared, it was exempt from the coal screening/planning requirements. However, development of this lease was never pursued and the lease expired in 1992. American Oil and Gas Corporation (American), also doing business as Martens and Peck Operating, proposes a coal bed methane (CBM) project called the Lighthouse project near Gillette, Wyoming in central Campbell County just south of the Marquiss CBM project. Wells drilled in the project area would be from intermingled private, state, and federal oil and gas properties. At full production, American hopes to produce methane gas from a maximum of 200 wells completed in the Wyodak coal seam in the Lighthouse project area. Of the 200 wells, 100 would produce federally owned methane gas.

Animal damage control (ADC) management may be required to minimize depredations to livestock and wildlife species; to protect threatened and endangered species; to maintain viable populations of native wildlife species; to preserve ecologically unique areas; to minimize rodent and other wildlife damage to cropland, grassland, and forestland; and, to suppress animal-borne diseases. ADC functions as a supplement to, not a substitute for, standard husbandry practices and techniques.
