Two-Point Correlator Of Twist-2 Light-Ray Operators In N=Sym In Bfkl Approximation, Ian Balitsky, Vladimir Kazakov, Evgeny Sobko

We generalize local operators of the leading twist-2 of š’© = SYM theory to the case of complex Lorentz spin j using principal series representation of sl(2, R). We give the direct computation of correlation function of two such non-local operators in the BFKL regime when j ā†’ 1. The correlator appears to have the expected conformal coordinate dependence governed by the anomalous dimension of twist-2 operator in NLO BFKL approximation predicted by Kotikov and Lipatov.

The polarized cross-section ratio ĻƒLTā€²/Ļƒ0 from hard exclusive Ļ€āˆ’Ī”++ electroproduction off an unpolarized hydrogen target has been extracted based on beam-spin asymmetry measurements using a 10.2ā€‰ā€‰GeV/10.6ā€‰ā€‰GeV incident electron beam and the CLAS12 spectrometer at Jefferson Lab. The study, which provides the first observation of this channel in the deep-inelastic regime, focuses on very forward-pion kinematics in the valence regime, and photon virtualities ranging from 1.5ā€‰ā€‰GeV2 up to 7ā€‰ā€‰GeV2. The reaction provides a novel access to the d-quark content of the nucleon and to pā†’Ī”++ transition generalized parton ā€¦

Nbā‚ƒSn is a next-generation superconducting material that can be used for future superconducting radiofrequency (SRF) accelerator cavities, promising better performance, cost reduction, and higher operating temperature than Nb. The Sn vapor diffusion method is currently the most preferred and successful technique to coat niobium cavities with Nbā‚ƒSn. Among post-coating treatments to optimize the coating quality, higher temperature annealing without Sn is known to degrade Nbā‚ƒSn because of Sn loss. We have investigated Nbā‚ƒSn/Nb samples briefly annealed at 800-1000 Ā°C, for 10 and 20 minutes to potentially improve the surface to enhance the performance of Nbā‚ƒSn-coated cavities. The heavy photon search experiment (HPS) at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility searches for electroproduced dark photons. We report results from the 2016 engineering run consisting of 10ā€‰608ā€‰ā€‰nbāˆ’1 of data for both the prompt and displaced vertex searches. A search for a prompt resonance in the e+eāˆ’ invariant mass distribution between 39 and 179 MeV showed no evidence of dark photons above the large QED background, limiting the coupling of Īµ2ā‰³10āˆ’5, in agreement with previous searches. The search for displaced vertices showed no evidence of excess signal over background ā€¦

We report calculations of a dc superheating field Hsh in superconductors with nanostructured surfaces. Numerical simulations of the Ginzburg-Landau (GL) equations were performed for a superconductor with an inhomogeneous impurity concentration, a thin superconducting layer on top of another superconductor, and superconductor-insulator-superconductor (S-I-S) multilayers.The superheating field was calculated taking into account the instability of the Meissner state with a nonzero wavelength along the surface, which is essential for realistic values of the GL parameter Īŗ. Simulations were done for the materials parameters of Nb and Nb3Sn at different values of Īŗ and the mean free paths. We ā€¦

A new magnetic field mapping system for 1.3 GHz single-cell cavities was developed in order to reveal the impact of ambient magnetic field and temperature gradients during cool-down on the flux trapping phenomenon. Measurements were done at 2 K for different cool-down conditions of a large-grain cavity before and after 120 Ā°C bake. The fraction of applied magnetic field trapped in the cavity walls was ~ 50% after slow cool-down and ~ 20% after fast cool-down. The results showed a weak correlation between between trapped flux locations and hot-spots causing the high-field Q-slope. The results also showed an increase of ā€¦

The US will be contributing to the HL-LHC upgrade at CERN with the fabrication and qualification of RFD crabbing cavities in the framework of the HL-LHC Accelerator Upgrade Project (AUP) managed by Fermilab. AUP received Critical Decision 3 (CD-3) approval by DOE in December 2020 launching the project into the production phase. The electro-magnetic design of the cavity was inherited from the LHC Accelerator Research Program (LARP) but needed to be revised to meet new project requirements and to prevent issues encountered during beam tests performed at CERN in the R&D phase. Extending the transverse momentum dependent factorization to thrust dependent observables entails a series of difficulties, ultimately associated to the behavior of soft radiation. As a consequence, the definition of the transverse momentum dependent functions has to be revised, while preserving (and possibly extending) their universality properties. Moreover, the regularization of the rapidity divergences generates non trivial correlations between rapidity and thrust. In this paper, we show how to deal with these correlations in a consistent treatment of the thrust dependence of e+eāˆ’ ā†’ h X cross section, where the hadron transverse momentum is measured with respect to ā€¦

Crab cavities, operating at 197 MHz and 394 MHz respectively, will be used to compensate the loss of luminosity due to a 25 mrad crossing angle at the interaction point in the Electron Ion Collider (EIC). Both crab cavities are of the RF Dipole (RFD) shape. To meet the machine design requirements, there are a few important cavity design considerations that need to be addressed. First, to achieve stable cavity operation at the design voltages, cavity geometry details must be optimized to suppress potential multipacting. Recent advancement in superconducting radio frequency cavity processing techniques, with diffusion of impurities within the RF penetration depth, resulted in high quality factor with increase in quality factor with increasing accelerating gradient. The increase in quality factor is the result of a decrease in the surface resistance as a result of nonmagnetic impurities doping and change in electronic density of states. The fundamental understanding of the dependence of surface resistance on frequency and surface preparation is still an active area of research. For the 14 mrad crossing angle proposed, crab cavity systems are fundamentally anticipated for the viable operation of the International Linear Collider (ILC), in order to maximise its luminosity performance. Since 2021, a specialist development team have been defining optimum crab cavity technologies which can fulfil the operational requirements for ILC, both for its baseline centre-of-mass energy of 250 GeV, but also extending those requirements out to higher beam collision intensities. Five design teams have established crab cavity technology solutions, which have the capability to also operate up to 1 TeV centre-of-mass. Quasielastic scattering on 12C(e,eā€²p) was measured in Hall C at Jefferson Lab for spacelike four-momentum transfer squared Q2 in the range of 8ā€“14.2(GeV/c)2 with proton momenta up to 8.3GeV/c. The experiment was carried out in the upgraded Hall C at Jefferson Lab. It used the existing high-momentum spectrometer and the new super-high-momentum spectrometer to detect the scattered electrons and protons in coincidence. The nuclear transparency was extracted as the ratio of the measured yield to the yield calculated in the plane wave impulse approximation. Additionally, the transparency of the 1s1/2 and 1p3/2 shell ā€¦

The nuclear dependence of the inclusive inelastic electron scattering cross section (the EMC effect) has been measured for the first time in 10B and 11B. Previous measurements of the EMC effect in A ā‰¤ 12 nuclei showed an unexpected nuclear dependence; 10B and 11B were measured to explore the EMC effect in this region in more detail. Results are presented for 9Be, 10B, 11B, and 12C at an incident beam energy of 10.6 GeV. The EMC effect in the boron isotopes was found to be similar to ā€¦

Run Group C comprises eight experiments utilizing the CLAS12 detector system in Hall B at Jefferson Lab to study the multidimensional partonic structure of nucleons. The experiments scatter electrons from polarized protons and neutrons in samples of solid NH3 and ND3, dynamically polarized at a temperature of 1 K in a 5 T magnetic field. After a brief description of the target system, the current status of the target and preliminary results of its performance in the experiment are presented.

The double-spin-polarization observable E for š›¾ā†’ pā†’ ā†’ pš›‘ā° has been measured with the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS) at photon beam energies Eš›¾ from 0.367 to 2.173 GeV (corresponding to center-of-mass energies from 1.240 to 2.200 GeV) for pion center-of-mass angles, cos Īøc.m.š›‘ā°, between - 0.86 and 0.82. These new CLAS measurements cover a broader energy range and have smaller uncertainties compared to previous CBELSA data and provide an important independent check on systematics. These measurements are compared to predictions as well as new global fits from The George Washington University, Mainz, and Bonn-Gatchina ā€¦

A thorough understanding of neutrinoā€“nucleus scattering physics is crucial for the successful execution of the entire US neutrino physics program. Neutrinoā€“nucleus interaction constitutes one of the biggest systematic uncertainties in neutrino experimentsā€”both at intermediate energies affecting long-baseline deep underground neutrino experiment, as well as at low energies affecting coherent scattering neutrino programā€”and could well be the difference between achieving or missing discovery level precision. A calculation is performed of the parity-violating polarizations in the external electric field, which are associated with the electron electric dipole moment (eEDM) and magnetic quadrupole moment (MQM) of the 175Lu nucleus, as well as the determination of the rovibrational structure for the 175LuOH+ cation. Beyond the bending of the molecule, the slight effect of the stretching of the distance between Lu and OH is taken into account. This study is required for the preparation of the experiment and for the extraction of the eEDM and MQM values of 175Lu from future measurements.

The GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab studies photoproduction of mesons using linearly polarized 8.5 GeV photons impinging on a hydrogen target which is contained within a detector with near-complete coverage for charged and neutral particles. We present measurements of spin-density matrix elements for the photoproduction of the vector meson Ļ(770). The statistical precision achieved exceeds that of previous experiments for polarized photoproduction in this energy range by orders of magnitude. SRF cavities subjected to heat treatment below 200 Ā°C in the presence of nitrogen showed an improvement in quality factor while maintaining an accelerating gradient above 25 MV/m. Here, we report the rf performance of several single-cell superconducting radio frequency cavities with frequency ranging from 0.75 - 3.0 GHz subjected to low temperature heat treatment in nitrogen environment. The cavities were treated at temperature 120 - 175 oC for 24 - 48 hours in low partial pressure of ultra-pure nitrogen gas. The improvement in Qā‚€ with Q-rise was observed when nitrogen gas was injected ~300 Ā°C during the furnace treatment. ā€¦

ParĀ­ticĀ­uĀ­larly, we perĀ­formed nuĀ­merĀ­iĀ­cal simĀ­uĀ­laĀ­tions of the Ginzburg-LanĀ­dau (GL) equaĀ­tions for a suĀ­perĀ­conĀ­ducĀ­tor with an inĀ­hoĀ­moĀ­geĀ­neous proĀ­file of imĀ­puĀ­rity conĀ­cenĀ­traĀ­tion, a thin suĀ­perĀ­conĀ­ductĀ­ing layer on top of anĀ­other suĀ­perĀ­conĀ­ducĀ­tor, and S-I-S mulĀ­tiĀ­layĀ­ers. The suĀ­perĀ­heatĀ­ing field was calĀ­cuĀ­lated takĀ­ing into acĀ­count the inĀ­staĀ­bilĀ­ity of the MeissĀ­ner state at a fiĀ­nite waveĀ­length along the surĀ­face deĀ­pendĀ­ing on the value of the GL paĀ­raĀ­meĀ­ter. The conversion of waste and by-products into green building materials is gaining attention for a sustainable economy. Particularly, rice husk ash (RHA) is used as a precursor in self-compacting concrete due to its high pozzolanic activity. It also minimizes the use of conventional OPC as a primary binder during construction by exploiting its chemical features and characteristics as an alternative binding agent. Developing and mass-producing RHA as a cementitious material would lessen the carbon footprint that harms the environment. Previously, we demonstrated an electronic circuit analogue of one of Special Relativity's (SR) phenomena called the Relativistic Aberration of Light (RAL) (European Journal of Physics, 42, 015605, 2021), which describes the change in the angle an observer sees a light source relative to their direction of motion at relativistic speeds. It used typical bulky laboratory equipment such as (i) function generators, (ii) oscilloscopes, and (iii) power supplies together with our all-pass filter (APF)-based electronic circuit analogue to perform experiments. In this paper, we present a novel smartphone-based experimental set-up performing the same experiment, but we replace the bulky and expensive ā€¦

Performance of superconducting resonators, particularly cavities for particle accelerators and micro cavities and thin film resonators for quantum computations and photon detectors has been improved substantially by recent materials treatments and technological advances. As a result, the niobium cavities have reached the quality factors Q ~ 1011 at 1-2 GHz and 1.5 K and the breakdown radio-frequency (rf) fields H close to the dc superheating eld of the Meissner state. These advances raise the question whether the state-of-the-art cavities are close to the fundamental limits, what these limits actually are, and to what extent the Q and H limits ā€¦

The higher efficiency of superconducting radio-frequency (SRF) cavities compared to normal -conducting ones enables the development of high-energy continuous-wave linear accelerators (linacs). Recent progress in the development of high-quality Nb3Sn film coatings along with the availability of cryocoolers with high cooling capacity at 4 K makes it feasible to operate SRF cavities cooled by thermal conduction at relevant accelerating gradients for use in accelerators. A possible use of conduction-cooled SRF linacs is for environmental applications, requiring electron beams with energy of 1-10 MeV and 1 MW of power. We have designed a 915 MHz SRF linac for such ā€¦

We report the measurement of š’™B scaling in (e,eā€²p) cross-section ratios off nuclei relative to deuterium at large missing momentum of 350 ā‰¤ Pmiss ā‰¤ 600 MeV/c. The observed scaling extends over a kinematic range of 0.7 ā‰¤ š’™B ā‰¤ 1.8, which is significantly wider than 1.4 ā‰¤ š’™B ā‰¤ 1.8 previously observed for inclusive (e,eā€²) cross-section ratios. The š’™B-integrated cross-section ratios become constant (i.e., scale) beginning at pmiss ā‰ˆ kF, the nuclear Fermi momentum. Comparing with theoretical calculations we find good agreement with generalized contact formalism calculations for high missing ā€¦

We report radio-frequency measurements of quality factors and temperature mapping of a nitrogen doped Nb superconducting RF cavity. Cavity cutouts of hot and cold spots were studied with low temperature scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and secondary electron microscopy. Temperature mapping revealed a substantial reduction of the residual resistance upon cooling the cavity with a greater temperature gradient and hysteretic losses at the quench location, pointing to trapped vortices as the dominant source of residual surface resistance.Analysis of the tunneling spectra in the framework of a proximity effect theory shows that hot spots have a reduced pair ā€¦

We report the total and differential cross sections for J/Ļˆ photoproduction with the large acceptance GlueX spectrometer for photon beam energies from the threshold at 8.2 GeV up to 11.44 GeV and over the full kinematic range of momentum transfer squared, t. Such coverage facilitates the extrapolation of the differential cross sections to the forward (t=0) point beyond the physical region. The forward cross section is used by many theoretical models and plays an important role in understanding J/Ļˆ photoproduction and its relation to the J/Ļˆ-proton interaction. These measurements of J/Ļˆ photoproduction near threshold are also crucial inputs to theoretical ā€¦

We investigate the relativistic scattering of three identical scalar bosons interacting via pair-wise interactions. Extending techniques from the nonrelativistic three-body scattering theory, we provide a detailed and general prescription for solving and analytically continuing integral equations describing the three-body reactions. We use these techniques to study a system with zero angular momenta described by a single scattering length leading to a bound state in a two-body subchannel. We obtain bound-state-particle and three-particle amplitudes in the previously unexplored kinematical regime; in particular, for real energies below elastic thresholds and complex energies in the physical and unphysical Riemann sheets. We report the first measurements of deep inelastic scattering spin-dependent azimuthal asymmetries in back-to-back dihadron electroproduction in the deep inelastic scattering process. In this reaction, two hadrons are produced in opposite hemispheres along the z axis in the virtual photon-target nucleon center-of-mass frame, with the first hadron produced in the current-fragmentation region and the second in the target-fragmentation region. The data were taken with longitudinally polarized electron beams of 10.2 and 10.6 GeV incident on an unpolarized liquid-hydrogen target using the CLAS12 spectrometer at Jefferson Lab. Observed nonzero sinĪ”Ļ• modulations in epā†’e'pĻ€+ X events, where Ī”Ļ• is the difference ā€¦
