A 10-year-old female Pomeranian dog was presented to the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, Chulalongkorn University, on December, 2018, with a history of anorexia, frequent vomiting, depress and oliguria. Physical examination revealed that the dog was depressed but responsive to the stimuli. The dog was dehydrated (7%) with pale-pink mucous membrane. The capillary refilling time of 1.5 seconds with strong femoral pulse were detected. The respiratory rate was 65 breath per minute with normal sound while heart rate was approximately 60 beats per minute without cardiac murmur from auscultation using stethoscope. A nine year old intact male Miniature Pinscher weighing 4.8 kilogram was presented to veterinarian with signs of severe coughing and exercise intolerance. He was diagnosed of heart disease and previously described the angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor and diuretic for a period of 6 months. Neither signs of syncope nor seizure was found. Physical examination revealed the dog was depressed and lethargy. The electrocardiography was performed and shown in Figure 1. An 8-month-old male French bulldog was referred to the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, Chulalongkorn University, on June, 2018, with a history of exercise intolerance, respiratory discomfort and frequent ascites since February, 2018. Previous physical examination showed that the dog had heart murmur and hepatomegaly. Thoracic radiograph revealed severe cardiomegaly with pulmonary edema and ascites. The congenital cardiac disease was suspected. Since then the dog had been treated with diuretics (i.e. furosemide and hydralazine). The abdominocentesis was performed for a period of 4 months prior to hospital visit while frequency of fluid removal was escalated up to once a week.
