Protective Efficacy Of Live Lasota Strain Newcastle Disease Virus Vaccine In Layer-Type Chickens, Jiroj Sasipreeyajan, Phornphisut Areeraksakul, Somkid Khanda

The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the protective efficacy of live LaSota strain Newcastle disease virus (NDV) vaccine administered with different routes against a NDV challenge in layer-type chickens. Fifty male layer-type chickens were divided into 3 groups. There were 20 chickens/group for the vaccinated groups (Groups 1 and 2) and 10 chickens for the non-vaccinated control group (Group 3). Chickens in Groups 1 and 2 received the vaccine individually at 4 weeks old by eye drop and oral drop, respectively. All chickens received NDV challenge individually by oral drop at 7 weeks old or 3 weeks post-vaccination …

Aflatoxin Effect On Humoral And Mucosal Immune Responses Against Infectious Bronchitis Vaccine In Broilers, Babak Shahabi-Ghahfarokhi, Majid Gholami-Ahangaran, Mohsen Jafarian-Dehkordi Mar 2016

Aflatoxin Effect On Humoral And Mucosal Immune Responses Against Infectious Bronchitis Vaccine In Broilers, Babak Shahabi-Ghahfarokhi, Majid Gholami-Ahangaran, Mohsen Jafarian-Dehkordi

The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine

The aflatoxin effect on humoral and mucosal immunity against infectious bronchitis (IB) vaccine was studied in 225 one-day-old chicks. The chicks were divided in 3 equal groups. Treatment groups included group A: chickens fed a basal diet, and group B: chickens fed 3 ppm productive aflatoxin in a basal diet. The chickens in groups A and B were vaccinated against IB (at one and 10 days old) by H120 live attenuated vaccine. For group C, chickens did not receive aflatoxin and were not vaccinated against IB. All chickens received experimental diets from 3 to 28 days old, continuously. At 28 …

Pharmacokinetics And Bioavailability Of Three Promising Tilmicosin-Loaded Lipid Nanoparticles In Comparison With Tilmicosin Phosphate Following Oral Administration In Broiler Chickens, Ali Rassouli, Alwan Al-Qushawi, Fatemeh Atyabi, Seyed Mostafa Peighambari, Mehdi Esfandyari-Manesh, Gholam Reza Shams

Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences

Tilmicosin (TLM) is a semisynthetic antimicrobial agent used mainly in poultry and cattle, but it has relatively poor oral bioavailability. This study was conducted to compare the bioavailability (BA) and main pharmacokinetic (PK) parameters of TLM after oral administration of tilmicosin phosphate (TLM-PH) and three newly prepared lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) of TLM including solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs), nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs), and lipid-core nanocapsules (LNCs). Sixty broiler chickens were divided into eight groups. In four treatment groups (n = 10), each bird was given a single oral dose (20 mg/kg) of a TLM formulation after overnight fasting, and in four …
