The high demand for ambulance services at the 119 Public Safety Center of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, including in the Administrative District of the Kepulauan Seribu, highlights the importance of providing water ambulances. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Water Ambulance Service by the DKI Jakarta Health Office using the Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) program evaluation approach. Using a qualitative approach, primary and secondary data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document review. Indonesia is ranked 7th with the highest number of diabetes mellitus sufferers and the only one in Southeast Asia with a total of 10.7 million sufferers. BACKGROUND: Health systems responsiveness (HSR) is the ability of systems to respond to legitimate non-health expectations of the population. The concept of HSR by the World Health Organization (WHO) includes respect for dignity, individual autonomy, confidentiality, prompt attention to care, availability of basic amenities, choice of provider, access to social support networks, and clarity of communication. BACKGROUND: Black men consistently have higher rates of prostate cancer (PCA)- related mortality. Advances in PCA treatment, screening, and hereditary cancer assessment center around germline testing (GT). Of concern is the significant under-engagement of Black males in PCA GT, limiting the benefit of precision therapy and tailored cancer screening despite longstanding awareness of these disparities. To address these critical disparities, the Socioecological Model (SEM) was employed to develop comprehensive recommendations to overcome barriers and implement equitable strategies to engage Black males in PCA GT.

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการศึกษาสถานการณ์โรคไม่ติดต่อและปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์กับการใช้บริการรักษาพยาบาลแบบผู้ป่วยนอกและผู้ป่วยใน ในประชากรไทยอายุตั้งแต่ 45 ปีขึ้นไป โดยการใช้ข้อมูลจากโครงการสำรวจด้านสุขภาพ การสูงอายุ และการเกษียณในประเทศไทย (Health, Aging, and Retirement in Thailand: HART) รอบที่ 3 ปี พ.ศ. 2564 เป็นการวิจัยเชิงวิเคราะห์แบบภาคตัดขวาง (cross-sectional analytical study) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ปัจจัยด้านอายุ เพศ สถานภาพสมรส การศึกษา การสูบบุหรี่ สถานะสุขภาพกาย สถานะสุขภาพจิต ภูมิภาค และสิทธิหลักประกันสุขภาพ สัมพันธ์กับการเจ็บป่วยด้วยโรคไม่ติดต่อ ยกเว้นการออกกำลังกาย สำหรับการใช้บริการรักษาพยาบาล พบว่า ผู้ที่ป่วยด้วยโรคไม่ติดต่อตั้งแต่ 2 โรคขึ้นไป มีโอกาสในการใช้บริการรักษาพยาบาล จำนวนครั้ง (กรณีผู้ป่วยนอกและผู้ป่วยใน) และจำนวนวันนอนรักษาในโรงพยาบาล (กรณีผู้ป่วยใน) สูงกว่าผู้ที่ป่วยด้วยโรคไม่ติดต่อเพียง 1 โรค ปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์กับการใช้บริการรักษาพยาบาลผู้ป่วยนอก ได้แก่ ปัจจัยด้านการออกกำลังกาย สถานะสุขภาพจิต และภูมิภาค ในขณะที่บริการรักษาพยาบาลผู้ใน พบว่า การเจ็บป่วยด้วยโรคไม่ติดต่อตั้งแต่ 2 โรคขึ้นไป อายุ และสถานะสุขภาพกาย สัมพันธ์กับการใช้บริการรักษาพยาบาลผู้ป่วยใน นอกจากนี้แล้ว การวิจัยนี้ไม่พบว่า สิทธิหลักประกันสุขภาพที่แตกต่างกันสัมพันธ์กับการใช้บริการรักษาพยาบาลทั้งผู้ป่วยนอกและผู้ป่วยในที่แตกต่างกัน ข้อค้นพบจากการวิจัยนี้สามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ในการกำหนดนโยบายสาธารณสุขด้านโรคไม่ติดต่อและเพื่อพัฒนาระบบสาธารณสุขของประเทศไทยต่อไปได้

PURPOSE: To determine the efficacy and safety of repetitive transorbital alternating current stimulation (rtACS) treatment by assessing vision-related quality of life and visual function outcome in subjects treated with rtACS versus sham-control.

STUDY DESIGN: Double masked, randomized, sham-controlled clinical trial (NCT03188042).

SUBJECTS: Sixteen subjects with moderate-to-advanced glaucoma (visual field [VF] mean deviation [MD] ≤-6.00 decibels) randomized into sham (9 subjects) or rtACS intervention (7 subjects) groups.

BACKGROUND: The Wetmore Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic in New Orleans serves patients who often lack primary care (PC) or specialty care (SC), which is complicated by comorbidities. An initiative to provide on-site PC and coordinate care aims to enhance TB patient management. METHODS: Data collection involved categorizing patients based on their PC status: Group I (regular PC), Group II (intermittent PC), and Group III (no PC), with on-site Nurse Practitioner-based Bridge Care (NPBC) provided as needed. Limited socioeconomic resources pose a barrier to accessing early intervention (EI) services.

The study yielded 33 participants of EI professionals. The study included an online survey and an optional semi-structured interview. Following data collection, Braun and Clarke’s six-step thematic analysis was utilized to identify themes from the surveys and interview transcriptions (Braun and Clarke, 2006).

PURPOSE: To describe the experience of a single level 1 trauma center in the management of blunt splenic injuries (BSI). METHODS: This is a retrospective study with Institutional Review Board approval. The medical records of 450 patients with BSI treated between January 2016 and December 2022 were reviewed. Seventy-two patients were treated with splenic artery embolization (SAE), met the study criteria, and were eligible for data analysis. Spleen injuries were graded in accordance with the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma Organ Injury Scale. Univariate data analysis was performed, with P < 0.05 considered statistically significant. RESULTS: The splenic salvage rate was 90.3% (n = 65/72). Motivated by improving the prediction of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) suppression status using electronic health records (EHR) data, we propose a functional multivariable logistic regression model, which accounts for the longitudinal binary process and continuous process simultaneously. Specifically, the longitudinal measurements for either binary or continuous variables are modeled by functional principal components analysis, and their corresponding functional principal component scores are used to build a logistic regression model for prediction. Molecular-based assays demonstrate excellent sensitivity for the detection of vaginitis causes. Here, the high-throughput BD Vaginal Panel for BD COR System (VP-COR) performance was compared to that of the predicate, BD MAX Vaginal Panel for BD MAX System (VP-MAX). Clinical or contrived samples were used to determine the agreement between VP-COR and VP-MAX. BACKGROUND: Persons who speak languages other than English are underrepresented in clinical trials, likely in part because of inadequate multilevel resources. We conducted a survey of institutions affiliated with the Children's Oncology Group (COG) to characterize current research recruitment practices and resources regarding translation and interpretation services. METHODS: In October 2022, a 20-item survey was distributed electronically to institutions affiliated with COG to assess consent practices and resources for recruiting participants who speak languages other than English to COG trials. CONTEXT: Prostate cancer is a molecularly heterogeneous disease that is amenable to diagnostic testing to identify patients potentially eligible for personalised treatments inform familial risk and provide relevant information about potential prognosis.
