The complexity of diabetes makes early diagnosis and effective management challenging for healthcare settings. This study developed and evaluated models using machine learning algorithms to predict the risk of diabetes. The data were primarily sourced from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS). Diabetes status was identified using A1c whole blood sample values (A1c WBS ³5.7%). Sociodemographic and anthropometric factors were set as predictors, most of which were significantly correlated with diabetes status. Keberlangsungan klaim JKN di RSUD Khidmat Sehat Afiat Kota Depok sekurang-kurangnya harus didukung oleh SIMRS yang dapat diintegrasikan dengan E-Klaim INA-CBG’s dan V-Claim. Maka pada tahun 2019 SIMRS dilakukan integrasi dengan kedua sistem informasi tersebut guna meningkatkan keberhasilan klaim JKN. Namun, sejak SIMRS diintegrasi, hingga saat ini belum pernah dilakukan analisis. Padahal, E-Klaim INA-CBG’s dan V-Claim terus mengalami perubahan yang menjadikan banyaknya fitur yang belum tersedia pada SIMRS yang berujung membuat proses pengajuan klaim JKN menjadi terhambat. Cakupan inisiasi menyusu dini (IMD) di Indonesia lebih rendah dibandingkan rata-rata ASEAN. Padahal cakupan persalinan di fasilitas kesehatan dan dibantu oleh tenaga kesehatan telah melampaui 70%. Penyedia layanan kesehatan menjadi faktor pendukung ibu untuk melakukan IMD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran tempat persalinan dalam IMD di Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan desain potong lintang, dan menggunakan data Survei Demografi Kesehatan Indonesia tahun 2017. Death due to SARS-CoV-2 generally occurs in patients requiring hospital care (hospitalization). However, it is still unclear whether vaccination acts as a protective factor against hospitalization in SARS-CoV-2 patients in Indonesia. This study examines the association between vaccination and hospitalization among SARS-CoV-2 patients. It employs a quantitative, cross-sectional design using secondary data from SARS-CoV-2 surveillance records at the Jakarta Health Agency (January–August 2021). Findings show that patients who received the 1st vaccine dose had a 0.34 times lower risk of hospitalization compared to unvaccinated individuals (aPOR=0.34; 95% CI=0.31–0.38). This study examined the intensity of different physical activity (PA) breaks for elementary school children in a simulated classroom setting. Researchers compared the energy expenditure (Kcals/min, METs) of PA breaks developed for the Physical Activity Across the Curriculum (PAAC-3) program, delivered via video or in-person, to commercially available GoNoodle^© videos. 71 children (age 9.0 ± 1.1 yrs., 47 males, 24 females, 18% minority) participated in 10-minute PA breaks. Ten years have passed since the last regional assessment of the state of Fogarty International Center-funded research ethics education and challenges facing research ethics in Latin America and the Caribbean basin. Program directors and faculty from four international research ethics education programs met in Spring 2024 to discuss their progress, challenges, and future priorities. The themes that emerged from these discussions were the structural difficulties faced by regional ethicists, the use of pedagogical innovations to mitigate different barriers faced by fellows, and the need to anticipate future challenges for the region including climate change.

We conducted a cross-sectional study to assess the influence of mothers’ education level, employment status, and exposure to domestic violence on diarrhea among children under 5 years old using secondary data from 2010, 2015, and 2020 Rwanda Demographic Health Surveys. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to measure and quantify patient preferences (priorities and trade-offs) for attributes that characterize current and emerging refractory chronic spontaneous urticaria (rCSU) treatments.

METHODS: Adult patients with self-reported rCSU symptoms completed an online discrete choice experiment survey. Intestinal microbes can beneficially impact host physiology, prompting investigations into the therapeutic usage of such microbes in a range of diseases. For example, human intestinal microbe Limosilactobacillus reuteri strains ATCC PTA 6475 and DSM 17938 are being considered for use for intestinal ailments, including colic, infection, and inflammation, as well as for non-intestinal ailments, including osteoporosis, wound healing, and autism spectrum disorder. The expression of members of the progesterone receptor membrane component (PGRMC) family, particularly PGRMC1, is elevated in diverse types of cancers, particularly those of the female reproductive system. While xenograft tumor studies using human transformed cell lines in immunocompromised mice have suggested that PGRMC1 enhances tumor growth and chemoresistance, the exact role of members of the PGRMC family in cancer development in vivo remains unclear. In 2023, Malang Regency recorded 1,018 cases with an incidence rate (IR) of 38.2 per 100,000 population. This study aims to analyze the relationship between climatic factors and the DF IR for the 2022–2024 period using an ecological design and Spearman’s correlation analysis. Despite the decline in HIV/AIDS and other cancer-associated illnesses like HPV, these diseases have set the stage for a growing cancer epidemic. Background: Oropharyngeal cancer is the eighth most common cancer among US men and its incidence is sharply rising. Oropharyngeal cancer manifests in two major ways: the classic form is prevalent among people who use alcohol and tobacco heavily, while a growing subset of incident cases is associated with human papillomavirus-16 (HPV) and transmitted via oral sex. Gay and bisexual men appear at higher risk for each etiologic subset of oropharyngeal cancer than heterosexual men. Sexual assault (SA) remains a pervasive issue on college campuses in the United States, often compounded by underreporting and a lack of knowledge about available resources. This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project aims to educate first-year college students about SA, sexual consent, and available resources to empower students in preventing assaults and seeking help when needed. The intervention, which was integrated into mandatory freshman seminars at a four-year university, was guided by Knowles' Adult Learning Theory. Many older adults experience depressive symptoms, and some never recover from it. Depression is one of the most common psychiatric disorders among older adults. The COVID-19 pandemic presents several challenges during pregnancy including thromboembolic complications, direct placental infection, transplacental transmission, and systemic hyperinflammatory state. The liver is the second most commonly affected organ in SARS-CoV-2 infection after the lungs. Mechanisms of liver injury in COVID-19 patients can include: direct viral cytopathic effect, worsening of underlying liver disease, cytokine storm, hypoxic ischemic injury, and cholangiopathy leading to persistent marked cholestasis. The pharmacological provocation test is a pivotal tool in cardiac electrophysiology for the diagnosis of potential causes of sudden cardiac death, sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), arrhythmias, symptoms, or ECG abnormalities. The life-threatening coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) affects about 1 in 1,000 healthy people under 50 without underlying conditions. Among patients with critical COVID-19 pneumonia, rare germline variants at genes controlling type I IFN immunity have been reported in up to 5% of patients. Causal etiologies in 80-85% of cases are still unknown. We analyzed two families with hypoxemic COVID-19 pneumonia for known single-gene inborn errors of immunity. In Family 1, two siblings with critical COVID-19 were homozygous for a DOCK2 variant, c.3624+5G>A. DOCK2 deficiency is a known T-cell disorder underlying severe viral diseases. Improving children's oral health is a national priority. Parental knowledge and self-efficacy influence children's health behaviors; however, the relationship between parental oral health-related knowledge, self-efficacy, child oral health-related quality of life (OHQoL), and dental caries remains unclear, especially among low-income, ethnically diverse U.S. families. This study assesses the relationship between parental oral health-related knowledge, self-efficacy, child dental caries, and OHQoL. BACKGROUND: Sepsis is one of the leading causes of maternal mortality globally. In 2023, the Azithromycin Prevention in Labor Use (A-PLUS) trial showed intrapartum azithromycin for women planning a vaginal birth reduced the risk of maternal sepsis or death and infection. We aimed to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of intrapartum azithromycin for pregnant people planning a vaginal birth in low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs) using A-PLUS trial data.
