International Journal of Physical Activity and Health
Background: Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is a common causative factor of knee pain. Exercise and electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) have been shown to improve knee function and relieve pain in patients with PFPS. However, the effect of exercise and EMS training on lower limb mechanics is unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate the lower limb mechanics during single-leg squats following 6-week training interventions of exercise and EMS.
Methods: 46 participants were recruited and randomly assigned into the muscle strength training (MST) group (21.5±3.8 yr, 174.7±8.4 cm, 69.5±11.7 kg) and combining EMS with strength training (EMS) group (22.2±4.3 …

Background/Purpose: Domestic Chinese sportswear brands have shown a growth trend with the development of Chinese economy. Chinese consumers' brand preferences are shifting from foreign sportswear brands to domestic brands. This indicates an increasingly strong relationship between Chinese consumers and domestic sportswear brands. We used a brand relationship quality scale based on Chinese Confucian yuanfen culture, considering it as a second-order reflective-formative construct. The purpose of this study was to explore the spillover effect of Chinese consumers' relationships with domestic sportswear brands on their preference for domestic sportswear brands. It aimed to provide possible explanations for the psychological mechanisms behind Chinese …

A114: Effect Of Four-Way Boxing Exercise On Cognitive Flexibility Of High School Students With Depression Tendency, Tongtong Hao
International Journal of Physical Activity and Health
Purpose: In recent years, depressive symptoms are more prominent than other psychological problems among Chinese high school students. Cognitive flexibility impairment is one of the important cognitive impairments in depression. The four-way boxing practice has the characteristics of rich content of action and various forms of practice.
Methods: This study used the method of literature, mathematical statistics, questionnaire and experiment, and four-way boxing practice as the intervention.
Results: The total score of the cognitive flexibility scale was negatively correlated with the scores of the self-rating depression scale (all P’s < 0.05). The cognitive flexibility of high depression prone high school students was significantly lower than that of low depression prone high school students. The results showed that: (1) In the self-rating depression scale, the total score of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the pre-test (P < 0.05), but there was no significant change in the control group; (2) In the cognitive flexibility scale, the total score and the controllable subscale scores of the experimental group were significantly higher after the test than before the test (P < 0.05), and the scores of the selective subscale after the test were significantly higher than before the test (P < 0.05), but there were no significant changes in the control group; (3) In Stroop color word test, the post-test response of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the pre-test (P < 0.05), while the control group had no significant change (P > 0.05); In the Wisconsin card test, the reaction time of the …
