Background/Purpose: This investigation delved into the effects and underlying mechanisms of low-intensity voluntary running on enhancing neurological functions and fostering emotional recovery after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), offering insights into potential rehabilitation strategies.
Methods: To simulate ICH, a collagenase-induced striatal model was employed in mice. Background/Purpose: The disturbed glutamate homeostasis in the nucleus accumbens (NAc) plays a key role in the induction of relapse during nicotine withdrawal. The uptake of excessive extracellular glutamate relies on astrocytic glutamate transporter-1 (GLT-1) and transporter for cysteine (x-CT). Objective: By analyzing census databases, we aimed to understand the correlation between depression and other psychological and physiological diseases. Further, we expanded our research to the correlation with physiology, lifestyle habits, and other aspects. Background: Many studies have shown that interlimb asymmetry is prevalent in various sports. As a highly reactive, one-sided sport, tennis has been shown to have significant left-right differences in grip strength and triceps strength in tennis players. PURPOSE: This study aimed to investigate whether reduced plantar cutaneous sensation could alter the movement strategies of the lower extremities in people with chronic ankle instability (CAI) during single leg drop landing.

Purpose: Exercise is a promising therapy for smartphone addiction, but it is unclear which type of exercise is most effective. This study aimed to compare the effects of nine different exercise intervention modalities and to determine the optimal duration, frequency, and cycle for each intervention. Background/Purpose: Dynamic stability deficit is one of the strongest risk factors for ankle sprains. Proprioception and strength are crucial for maintaining dynamic stability and preventing sprains during sports and daily activities. The mechanisms by which humans maintain anteroposterior (AP) and medial-lateral (ML) stability are different. The correlations of AP and ML dynamic stability with its two factors, namely, proprioception and strength, may explain the recurrent sprains among individuals with functional ankle instability (FAI).
