The separation of mixtures into different components is integral to experimentation and analysis in a multitude of fields. Chromatography is one of the most popular, well-developed, and well-studied methods used to examine the makeup of a mixture. Thus, the improvement of chromatographic procedures directly benefits research across many scientific disciplines.
