The standard of care in the treatment for women diagnosed with breast cancer includes identification and biopsy of the sentinel lymph nodes (SLN) of the breast (Chaterjee et al., 2017; Kneece, 2017). The process of identifying the SLNs involves radioisotope injections into or near the areola. Because this area is highly sensitive, women report this procedure to be considerably painful. Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) include 10 traumatic events of abuse, neglect, and household dysfunction that occur before 18 years of age. Adverse childhood experiences affect greater than 60% of the population, and approximately one in six individuals affirm that they have experienced four or more types of ACEs. Registered nurses are subjected to high risk for workplace violence from patients and visitors, with 25.5% reporting at least one victimization incident (Gillespie et al., 2013). The research question was “What are Registered Nurses’ images of nursing while working during a pandemic?” Registered nurses submitted an image and a brief narrative of the image through REDCap ©, a secure database, describing how the image and culture of nursing is impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Through exit interviews from staff who left, inadequate onboarding and education made them feel unprepared for their job and not part of the team. Studies have supported protocolized insulin titration to optimize insulin therapy. We implemented a long acting insulin titration (LAIT) protocol in a primary care setting to aid patients achieve optimal control of their diabetes. The daily use of urinary catheterization increases the risk for chronic complications including catheter associated urinary tract infections. However, there are limited intervention studies focused on reducing chronic complications after discharge from a rehabilitation hospital.
