Background: Mindfulness has gained prominence in education as a method for enhancing student well-being and learning, yet its integration into nursing curricula remains underexplored. Student lived experiences are essential to understanding the potential benefits and challenges of mindful nursing practice.

Aim: To explore the lived experiences of undergraduate nursing students who practice mindfulness as it relates to nursing education.

Methods: This was a qualitative descriptive phenomenological study. Data was collected using semi-structured Zoom interviews. Recruitment used word of mouth and snowball sampling. Purpose: This quality improvement project evaluated the feasibility of implementing therapeutic music in the emergency department (ED) to decrease anxiety levels by 10% over three months at a hospital in West Houston.

Background: Anxiety in the ED can exacerbate patient conditions and lead to increased use of anxiolytic drugs. Prior studies suggest that therapeutic music is effective in lowering anxiety across clinical settings. Anxiety in emergency department settings can negatively impact patient outcomes and increase reliance on pharmacological treatments. This project aims to identify and address the factors hindering the effective utilization of the simulation lab at Grady Memorial Hospital. Despite the simulation lab’s potential to enhance clinical skills and decision-making abilities through realistic medical scenarios, it remains underutilized. This evaluation project was a pretest and posttest design to assess the impact of educational interventions. At the intersection of drug policy, the opioid crisis, and fragmented care systems, persons with opioid use disorder (OUD) in the United States are significantly vulnerable to contact with the criminal legal system (CLS). In CLS settings, provision of evidence-based treatment for OUD is variable and often secondary to punitive approaches. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a complex disease that poses various challenges to patients. Health Literacy (HL) is considered essential for the effective management of CKD. This phenomenological study explored health literacy in 12 patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis in Padang, Indonesia. Objective: Translating and culturally adapting the AmamentaCoach app, originally developed in Brazil, for use by mothers of premature babies in Canada, through international research collaboration. Method: This is applied research in the form of technological development, in which the World Health Organization’s recommendations for the translation and cultural adaptation of instruments were taken into account.
